## **Objectives and Activities** 

Henley Dementia Café, known as Memory Lane Café, exists to provide a safe, welcoming environment for people living with dementia and their carers. Our objectives are: 

- To reduce isolation and loneliness among those affected by dementia. 

- To provide emotional and practical support for carers. 

- To promote awareness and understanding of dementia within the local community. 

Activities during the year included: 

- Twice-monthly café sessions offering refreshments, social interaction, and themed activities. 

- Guest speakers and entertainers to engage attendees. 

- Information sessions on dementia care and local support services. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

During the year we hosted 24 café sessions, with an average attendance of 50 people per session.  We have welcomed new families and attendees reported feeling more connected and supported.  Carers expressed appreciation for respite and peer support opportunities.

The charity remains financially stable and continues to operate within its means. 

## **Plans for the Coming Year** 

- Expand café sessions to include regular outings for attendees. 

- Recruit additional volunteers to support growing attendance. 

## **Risk Management** 

Key risks identified: 

- Volunteer shortages – mitigated by ongoing recruitment and training. 

- Funding sustainability – mitigated by diversifying income streams through grants and community fundraising. 

The trustees confirm that Henley Dementia Café continues to operate for the public benefit, in line with the Charity Commission’s guidance.
