The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for the participation in free flight.Providing relief and assistance to past and present members of the BHPA and their dependants who are in need as a result of accident, poverty, disability, sickness, infirmity or otherwise. To establish and maintain a museum of free flight.
Objects: 1. The Promotion Of Community Participation In Healthy Recreation By The Provision Of Facilities For Participation In Non-Motorised Variants Of Hang Gliding, Paragliding And Human Powered Flight, Including Support For Those Wishing To Acquire Or Develop Skills In Those Sports.2. To Relieve Those Who Are In Need As A Result Of Having Suffered An Accident Participating In Free Flight Sports In Particular By Making Grants And / Or Providing Advice.3. To Establish And Maintain A Museum Of Free Flight Sports, In Particular By Collecting, Curating And Displaying Free Flight Sports Equipment And Memorabilia For The Benefit Of The Public.the Term ‘Free Flight Sports’ In This Context Shall Be Taken To Mean All Forms Of Non-Motorised Amateur Flight Which Can Be Undertaken Without The Requirement To Hold A Formal Civil Aviation Authority Pilots Licence.
