STRUCTURE GOVERNANCE and MANAGEMENT
The Charity is a members, association organised in a¢¢ordance wlh ils Constitution under
whith the management of the Charity is vested in a Management Committee comprising the
Iruslees of the Charity. The Managemènt Committee are all elected annually by the
members oflhe Charity al an Annual General Meets"na.
The Constslulion is for all inlenls and purposes treated as the document governing the
operation of the Charity. The Management Committee is responsible for furthgring the
tharilable objectives set out in the Constitsjlton.
Although th& officers of the Chority do not undergo any formal training as trustees of o ch8rily
they have access to advice in such matters online and from the Charity's Independent
Examiner.

OBJECTIVES ANO ACTIVITIES
The objectives of the Association are..

and advance the educab.on of the pupil$
During the year. the AsSo￿allOn held a variety of events starting with the bi-annual Ball in
March 2022. This event was folk)wed by the annual Summer Fair in June 2022, Fireworks
display in November 2022 and the Chrislm8$ Fair in December 2022. The school second-
hand shop was in operation for much of the year and contributed substanlially lo the income
of the charity. In addition, the selling of Christmas Trees and the Chrislm8s card project
contributed lo the fundraising and capped off a Suc￿sS￿J1 year.
This year there was also a community driven cc41ection of items that were then donated lo
the Ukrainlan collects'on bank organised by Ihe lo￿1 Prosperity Restaurant.
RISK POLICY
The Trustees annually r8view any risks to Ihg Charity and have 18ken th6 necessary
measures lo miligale any possible risks.
RE
ERVES POLICY
The Assoejation has very few operallonal costs or oulgokngs. Exlstong costs are generally
assoclaled wllh events and purchasing small amounts of branded stock for the on-slle
school uniform shop. Events are planned only if they can raise funds and therefore the need
to hold reserves Is Ilmited. The tnJstee$ plan to ravi&w the reserve pollcy annually In ca$e
Ihere is a change lo the current cash-flow stru¢lure.
DONATIONS POLICY
It was agreed al the inaugural meeling of the Association in its cajrrent form thal all funds
raised from charitable acliwties would be splil equally be￿en charitable donations and
lunding projects for the school lo the benefit ofthe children's education. Criteria for tharflable
don8tSon$ have also been agreed.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Financial Year to 31 December 2022 stsrted with the much anticipated Ball. This event
sold out within hours and it raised £19,215. It was a great success, enjoyed by all those who
allended and included a Raffle and an Auctt'on. This was kss than the money the 2019 Ball
raised bul il is generally accepted that the 2019 ball was exception81. Thank you to the ball
team who organised the event.
This was followed by a very successful Summer Fair where the lovely weather and the live
music allowed for families Io stay and enjoy the aftemoon. This even( including its raffle,
raised £5.998, significan￿Y more than any previous summer fair. Thanks to the Summer fair
team for their lime and dedication organising the event 2nd lo all the parents who
volunt8ered and made the day a memorable one.
Following the Summer break we had our annual and much loved Firewot1(s night, which
despite the challenging weather on the night. wenl ahead w¢lh the help of cAJr parent
community who came early and helped make the nlghl a success brlnging in profits of

£2,402. This was slightly less CoMpa￿d lo last yeArfs. however that was due to an incraase
in the price of the show itself and the purchase of a new batth of glow toys.
The Chrislmas Fair On￿ again brought the communlty together with a wKle array of stslls
and actlvilies for children and adults, spread out around the entire school site. Once again
the event was extremely popular and sU￿SsIu1. with a tr)tal profit of £5,508. another recA)rd
profrt compared to prevlous years. Thanks lo the leam forlheir hard work and all the parents
for their 8tter)d8nce and kind generosity to make the event such a success.
Other Christmas initiatives prO￿ded addikn'onal income, with the s818 of Chdstmas Trees
making £572, slightly down on lasl year, and the Christmas rArd art project raising £1,166
similar to previous years. Thanks again lo the pa￿nts who organised these projecls and
helped in deliveries.
Income from th6 School shop this year was at £4.021 vknich is similar to last year's. We are
very gr8t8ful lo all the volunle8rs who Nn thls 8m8zing inltiative.
Onlina fundraislng Inilialives. including easyfundrnising.com and Am820n Smile, have
conlinu6d to generate some income for the Associatlon. £523 this finan¢ial year. Donations
are limited lo a relatively small number of parents. and we would like lo increase this in the
coming years.
Expenditure largely fo￿Sed on purthases for the schcol. The Investment of £10,000 into
the new prep playground vras the largest one-off expense and has prov8d lo be a huge hil
with all the children in our sch￿1 community. Both nursery school and pre-prep were thrilled
ono again with the reindeer visit (£9001 whilsl all year groups benefited from Ihe author visit
during W0￿d Book week {£6851, plant for the school grounds1£1,04018nd the wildlife show
(£5901. The Year 6 Leavers dlsco Wds also supported by Ihe PA as usual1£S001.

The nominated charity for the Academic yearof202212023 is The cystic Flbrosls Trust whlth
wlll receive 8 donatlon of £3.955 for this financlal ygar a8 a result of the events run In the
autumn lemi.
a fully volunteer led organi5ation. overheads remain very row, limited to annual
subscriptions lo Parentkind, which provides insurance and advice. and Plansocial, the
events allocations and sales system. The cosl for those were £128 and £216 resp8Ctively.
There was also a new subscription lo Xero. tha Assoeialions accounlino softwar8. of
£76 whlch will likely bècome an annual cost. There were additional one-off expenses this
year costing lo £373 whith incIL￿ed MDF boards used lo protect Ihe astro playground during
Ihe Fireworks dlsplay and a new coin counting machine.
As a résult, the Assodatlon Ilnlshes Ihe Financial Year for FY22 al 8 surplus of £8,100, and
with nel assets of £32,470. pulling the association in 8 strong position to ￿)ntInue with
donations to the school through thé coming year.
PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
Despite the next year nol having a large fuTrYraising event such as Ihe 8all, Trustees are
oplimislic that our usual evenls will raise significant fvnds in 2023.we have already had our
Quiz night whith raised around £1,396. The Spring Paty due lo tske place in May 2023
has already been booked and most of the tickets have been sold and we are hoping this
event will be a success. Plans for our usual events. namely the Summer Fair, Fireworks an
Christmas Fair will be made as we go through the year. We are hopeful that the second-
hand shop continues to provtde the Assoaalion wlh a consistent Sour￿ of its income, aThJ
