Chelsea and Westminster hospital, the royal
Brompton hospital and haven house
children’s hospice with weekly workshops to
reduce stress and support children’s
emotional health and wellbeing. Making
children’s time spent in hospital a more
enjoyable experience by providing them with
bedside workshops.
Since the pandemic the charity has worked
with Chelsea and Westminster hospital and
saint George’s hospital to provide workshops
digitally to pediatric patients. We have found
that this has really helped support children
stress levels and emotional health in a time
where they cannot be with their families. We
have witnessed changes in energy levels of
children due to the workshop and emotional
and stress levels. Most children are quite
quite at beginning of workshops but by the
end they are in a positive talkative mindset by
the end of the workshop.
We also have provided pre recorded
workshops that children can watch on there
bedside TVs at Chelsea and Westminster
hospital.|
