ANNUAL REPORT : VIVA FOUNDATION UK

On behalf of the Viva Foundation UK, it is my pleasure to provide the annual report of the organisation for the period 1 March 2022 to 28 February 2023.
Activities
The activities of the organisation were limited to a visit from Trustee Meleney Kriel to a church in Sheffield, Bushfire Ministries where a presentation about the organisation’s activities in South Africa, was made. The presentation took place on in May 2022.
Bushfire Ministries has sent donations to the Viva Foundation South Africa directly, via PayPal in South Africa and therefore their support did not affect the financial situation of the Viva Foundation UK.
Finances
The only funding received was transfers amounting to two thousand one hundred and twenty five Pounds Stirling from Bushfire Ministries to Viva Foundation South Africa via PayPal. The organisation has a Wise Bank Account, with a transfer of one hundred Pounds Stirling in it from Viva Foundation e.V. in Germany.
It is still impossible for the organisation to open a bank account with a “regular” bank, in the light of the fact that the Trustee Meleney Kriel, is not a resident of the United Kingdom and the organisation is new. The Wise bank account does not qualify for Gift Aid.
Expenditures include direct transfers of the full amounts from Bushfire Ministries in the UK via PayPal to the Viva Foundation in South Africa to the value of two thousand one hundred and

twenty five Pounds Stirling. The funds were used exclusively for the Viva Foundation of South Africa’s feeding scheme, namely to provide food parcels to vulnerable families and a school feeding scheme in two very poor areas, Refilwe Township and an informal settlement in Mamelodi East, Pretoria.
Trustees
The process of recruitment of Trustees and additional members continues without change. A good relationship with members of the Bushfire Ministries in Sheffield has potential of producing growth in Trustee and member numbers, but to date, nothing has changed in this regard.
Other activities
The activities of the Viva Foundation continued in South Africa and Brazil, with effect.
It is the hope that with assistance from grant makers, the Viva Children’s Choir will be able to travel to the UK and initiate a growth phase for the organisation’s branch in the UK.
Until then, the Trustees remain hopeful that the organisation will experience growth soon.

The full amount was sent directly to the Bank Account of the Viva Foundation of South Africa, each time it was received and used for the Viva Feeding Scheme.
