## **Trustees Report 14 November 2019 to 31 December 2021**

The charity was successfully registered on the 14[th] of November 2019 following consultation with the members of the band and the committee.

The group performed the annual winter concert on the 16[th] of November 2019 at Shirley Methodist Church with CovSaxQ. The run up to Christmas 2019 included the usual annual Marie Curie Solihull Lights to Remember and for the first time, without Tony Veal’s organization, Carol’s at St. Margaret’s.

The trustees had planned the Spring Big Blow out Concert, which is the bands main income generator and were planning some events for the summer including an open-air performance at a local band stand. This was however impacted by the global pandemic and the subsequent restrictions.

In order to maintain some continuity and keep morale up various digital events were organized between the Spring and Summer of 2020 when restrictions were at their peak. This included some digital performances which were shared via the group’s social media accounts. Due to restrictions followed by uncertainty around restrictions the band paused all in person activities between Spring 2020 and Summer 2021.

We have had a cautious return in 2021 during the Autumn school terms starting in September. No concert was planned due to uncertainty around regulations and based on the knowledge of what other amateur groups were doing also avoiding large scale events.

The aim is to organize a concert in 2022 during the spring term however this has the potential to be disrupted by the emergence of the Omicron variant of Covid. We remain cautiously optimistic and hope to fulfill our objectives as a charitable organization starting in 2022.
