Cylch Meithrin Bodawen is a member of Mudiad Meithrin the National Association of Welsh Medium playgroups in Wales. Bodawen adopts their recommended policies and procedures. Cylch Meithrin Bodawen is governed by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate in Wales (CSSIW) and is inspected by them every two years. Cylch Meithrin Bodawen is governed by ESTYN. ESTYN is led by the Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales and inspects quality and standards in education. Bodawen is inspected by ESTYN every four years. Cylch Meithrin Bodawen is also inspected by ECERS (Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale). |

This is a service which provides the Welsh Language ‘Active Offer’. It provides a service that anticipates, identifies and meets the Welsh language and cultural needs of children who use or may use the service.

Section D Achievements and performance
The Cylch staff worked tirelessly during this financial year to merge with during the year another Under 4s provision on September 1[st] 2025. Cylch Meithrin Bodawen closed down to all children 31[st] August, 2025. All staff have moved over to the new charity ‘Cylch Hadau’r Nant’, under existing terms and conditions and have moved to occupy a purpose built building, built by Denbighshire Local Authority in conjunction with Mudiad Meithrin. No statutory inspections were carried out during the financial year 25- 26. The trustees and the existing committee of Cylch Meithrin Bodawen since September 1[st] have 2025 have worked to wind down the financial affairs of Cylch Meithrin Bodawen, and all financial matters have been settled and assets transferred to the new charity as per the agreement of trustees and the committee. Given that Cylch Meithrin Bodawen has now ceased trading in August 2025, this will be the final TAR and accounts for this charity. Following this submission, the Trustees will move to close down Cylch Meithrin Bodawen as a Charity with the Charity Commission and will close all accounts.
