Achievements and Performance SORP reteren¢e Summary ol the main achievements of the charity, identifying the drfference the charty's work has made to the circumstances ol tts beneliciaries and any wider benefits to wciety as a whole. Para 120 2023 - 2024 was a challenging year due to stalling drflicultiesfvacancies. This resulted in the setting being unable to open for all sessions and depended on the availability of bank staff to open when we could with the Assistant Leader. Throughout this challenging rICl we wèr8 offered support by the local Mudiad Meithrin support worker who attended committee and aff meetings. The Foundation Leaming Advisory Teacher was also a valuable SUFPOrt. In Juty 2023 a new committee was fomied when previous members stepped down as their children left the setting. Holly Pugh took over as treasurer and Anwen Davies as Responsible Individual and Chair. li remains a challenge lo gel mofe parents inVoed and part ot the committee. resulting in the role of Secretary being vacant. DBS checks were completed by previous chair and Care Inspectorate Wales, ensuring we were meeting Charity Commission guBlelines. Committee me81ings were held 9cfullY each haw term. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position at lh8 end of the period Para 1.21 The accounts for the Cylch continue to be prepared on a cash basis {receipls and paymenlsl and therefore do not ieflect any prepayments or accruals. During the year Cylch has unfortunately reported a loss this last financial year ol £358.61. This is due to the staffing challenges faced with paying sickness leave and bank staff, as well as reduced opening hours reducing the funding we would have received lor the children attending. Had we nol had these challenges, we would have broken even. On a w)sttDie, Ft has been aanged the rent is now paid twice a year, which works out well lor us. All invoices are paid in a timely manner and everything is up to dale. Full membership fee was paid lo Mudiad Meithrin. We hold sufficient reserves in case we need lo pay staff redundancies. Statement explaining the policy lor holding reserves stalin are held Amount of reserves held Reasons tor holding zero reserves etails o deficit Explanation of any uncertainties about the charty continuing as a going concern Para 1.22 Para 1.22 P8r8 1.?2 Ur materially In ara Para 1.23 The low number ol young children in the catchment area remains a concern and challenge.
