From 01 April 2024 To 31 March 2025

Charity name: THE STYLE FOR STROKE FOUNDATION

Charity registration number: 1186312

Objectives and Activities

SORP reference
Summary of the purposes of
the charity as set out in its
governing document
Para 1.17 The Style For Stroke Foundation assists in the
treatment and care of persons suffering from
mental or physical illness caused by a strokes
or in need of rehabilitation as a result of such
illness. In particular, to promote and protect
the physical and mental health of sufferers of
strokes through the provision of financial
assistance to sufferers and the organisations
which support them.
Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.
Para 1.17 and
1.19
During the period of this Report, the Trustees
agreed to provide a financial grant to two
organisations which work directly to support
stroke survivors and their families.
The cash grants were made to ‘Interact Stroke
Support’ and ‘The Stroke Association’. These
are both well-established UK charities with a
track-record of providing valuable assistance
to stroke survivors and their families.

whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public

Para 1.18 The charity’s trustees have due regard to the

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 During the period of this Report, the charity
received a significant cash contribution to its
funds. This made it possible to provide two
cash donations to charities which work
directly to support stroke survivors.
The cash donations were made to ‘Interact
Stroke Support’ and ‘The Stroke Association’.
These two charities were identified by the
Trustees as bringing particular benefit to
stroke survivors. ‘Interact Stroke Support’
provides an invaluable reading service to
stroke survivors in 20 hospitals across the UK.
‘The Stroke Association’ is the core charity
providing support to stroke survivors and
their families throughout the UK.
By supporting the organisations identified
above, the Trustees believe this makes a
significant difference to stroke survivors and
that this in turn satisfies the core purpose of
the charity.
In the period since 01 April 2025 the
Foundation has continued to support charities
working with stroke survivors and their
families with further grants. The most recent
grants were made in 2025.
The Foundation expects to continue providing
cash grants during 2025/26 as additional
funds are raised from cash donations. These
donations originate from two successful
fundraising events (‘The Spring Ball 2025’, and
the ‘Christmas Carol Charity Concert 2025’).

Financial Review

Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 The charity has a positive cash balance and no
financial position at the end liabilities at the end of the period.
of the period
The Foundation’s core income during the
period of this Report originated with both
large and small number cash donations. The
small donations were via Just Giving, and Easy
Fundraising.
The key component of the Foundation’s
income continues to be via fundraising events,
such as the very popular ‘The Spring Ball’. One
was held in late Spring of 2025 and there are
already plans in place to replicate this success
with another Spring Ball in 2026.
The only expenditure during the period was
(a) a recurring subscription to the ‘PR
Photoshots’ service, and a small outlay on
web design; and (b) the Trustees also agreed
that a photographer should be reimbursed for
services provided for the benefit of the
charity, and paying suppliers required for the
two fundraising events (design; travel and
venue fees).
Statement explaining the Para 1.22 The charity does not hold reserves.

stating why they are held
Amount of reserves held Para 1.22 Not applicable
Reasons for holding zero Para 1.22 Given that the charity incurred no liabilities
reserves during the period of this Report and does not
anticipate incurring any in the following
periods, there is no expectation that reserves
will be required. In particular, it should be
noted that the policy of the charity is that
Trustees only commit to grant making after
any income has been banked.
