Trustees’ Report for Financial Year 2024-25
1. Summary
The charity match4mission (CIO) was established and registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in April 2020, with the purpose of seeking to obtain funds for mission projects and mission personnel struggling to obtain the necessary finances. In 2023, we expanded to include humanitarian aid for Myanmar refugees in Thailand, recognising the urgent and often overlooked needs of displaced communities. With limited media coverage, these refugees lacked international attention and funding, prompting us to act. Furthermore, in 2025 we added a ”Kids” section, which now includes Grace Boarding Home in Mae Sot, Touch of Hope School in Erbil, Iraq, and Kazakh children in Western Mongolia.
2. Overall income and Independent Examiner Requirement
The financial year of 2024-25 saw an income of £21,809.59, slightly up from the previous year. Since this was still below £25,000, there was no need to have the figures audited by an independent examiner.

4. Developments and Projects
During the year, most donations — £23,200 — were directed to relief efforts for the Myanmar Earthquake Victims and Refugees. The remaining funds supported two ongoing Kids initiatives:

These allocations reflect the strong donor preference for humanitarian projects in times of crisis.
5. Trust Fund Applications
Once again, the only trust fund to contribute was URCO Netherlands, with a donation of £4,206.78. Applications to other trust funds were submitted but unfortunately proved unsuccessful, highlighting the ongoing challenge of diversifying funding sources.
6. Summary
This was match4mission’s most successful year to date in terms of overall donations. However, it is important to acknowledge that humanitarian projects took priority, while mission-focused projects were largely neglected. This imbalance was due to two factors:

Donor preference for humanitarian initiatives over mission-specific work
7. Plans & Future Goals
Looking ahead, several realities must be faced:

match4mission was originally established to support mission projects, yet most recent funding has gone to humanitarian causes.

Applications to trust funds have largely gone unanswered.

Efforts to secure a dedicated fundraiser have not succeeded.

The time investment required has been disproportionate to the overall income received.

Given these challenges, we must seriously consider the future direction of Match4Mission — whether to refocus on its original mission purpose, adapt to donor priorities, or explore alternative models of sustainability.
