Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	The object of the CIO is the prevention or relief of poverty in developing countries by providing: grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organizations working to prevent or relieve poverty. The provision of basic supplies, such as children’s clothes and shoes, books and other personal or educational supplies to help families, children and schools throughout developing countries that are unable to afford them. The provision of equipment and funds for recreational pursuits or training intended to bring the quality of life of the beneficiaries to a reasonable standard, providing education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
