|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|BAS continued to offer all of it’s face to face<br>activities, though these transitioned to Zoom<br>from March 2020.<br>Key sessions included 6 week parent courses,<br>one being delivered each term and generally<br>themed for parents of boys or girls, specifically<br>themed weekly meetings and general drop in<br>meetings also on a weekly basis. BAS has also<br>continued to provide bookable 1 hour support<br>phone calls and a mentoring programme where<br>a volunteer is paired with parents new to autism<br>for 6 weeks. Rather than face to face meetings,<br>this also has become virtual for 2020. Parents<br>also derived support from the monitored<br>facebook groups and frequently updated web<br>pages. Children’s Zoom activity sessions were<br>run over the summer.|
