Resolution 2: Trustees Report
Friends of Appleby Parish was given charitable status end of Nov 2019. Due to the pandemic, it has not been possible to do any fundraising events. However, over the last year trustees have helped facilitate the following:
Raised £1115 for new floodlights for the church which was paid directly into church funds due to the lack of a bank account. See Treasurers Report.
Facilitated the new quinquennial review for the church including deciding on a church architect, supporting the architect on his fact finding visit and supplying information as necessary. The review has now been received and we are starting to work on the most urgent repairs.
Facilitating day to day access to the church when required for workmen, and users of the church.
Working with the Winterton Parish on church opening at Winterton.
Looking into placing a shed in the church grounds to clear equipment from the church.
Meetings were held by the trustees on 9[th] March and 7[th] August 2020.
We would also like to thank Terry and Maureen Beisty for keeping the churchyard so tidy. This is a monumental task over the summer.

Resolution 3: Finance Report
There are no financial statements this year as no money has been directly paid to the friends. This is because we have been unable to get a bank account due to the pandemic. An account was partly opened when lockdown 1 happened but the banks suspended all new business banks. We were able to start afresh in February this year to open an account and we are going through the final hurdles now and will update at the meeting.
When we have an account open, we will be able to have a JustGiving page or similar for people to gift if they wish or set up direct debits or standing orders for others. This will allow us to then put in for grants etc.
