The object of thg CIO is the advancement of the Christs'an religion by providing funds lo
assist with the insurance, restoration, repair, improvement 8nd beaulifi¢alion of St.
Hierf(ha's Church, Chittlehampton, Devon and helping to provide additional lacilities and
contributin9 towards the cost of maintaining the ministry at the church and day-to-day
sts inrjdental thereto for and on behalf of the parochial church ooun¢il of St Hieritha's
church.

The ¢harity'$ income is from three main sources.. lal Rental payments for a ￿trage
owned by the trustees, Ibl Dividends eamed by investmen15 in M and G CharifurKls and
COIF shares (¢1 donations from the organiserg of a Local Authority registered .100 club.

Thère were no requests made by the PCC for financial support lo help pay for repairs
apart from meeting the c05t of insuring the two church buiklings and also to purchase
candles for Christmas services together with hire of rooms for meetings. The trusteès
unanimously agreed lo retain the surplus'disposable. income and continue wf(h their
efforts to improve the condition of Church Cottage I despite resistance from the tsnanll .
The Charty's expenditure on meeting ils Charitsble Airn¥ tolalled £8,171 In addition the
Cost of malntaining Charity wa8 £1,549.. comprising Cost of insurance, maintenance of
the cottage and obtainlng statutory eertificates.
None of the trustee$ r•¢glvod paym•nts or ¢laimed expens9$ during the year nef(her
were there any fund-raisers or empksyees
The tiustees ￿gUlarlY review the incomelexpendilure of the charity and are satisfied that
the charities aims are fully mel and that the funds held in reserve will enable it to help fund
any reasonable requests made by the PCC in their aim to keep the medièval building in
good repair for the benefit of ils congregation and the population at large now and in the
future.
