Activities

Grenfell Tower Trust is a bereaved, survivors and local residents Hub. Its main objective is to enhance access to services to meet the social, emotional and mental health needs of its users. It ensures that culturally competent and trauma informed services are co-produced and delivered to build resilience and wellbeing. It has successfully run a Civic Leadership and Community voice Programme.

Objects: 1. To Relieve Financial Hardship, Poverty, Ill-Health, Disability, Distress And Suffering Of The Survivors Of The Grenfell Tower Tragedy And Their Families And Dependents And Those Who Have Suffered Bereavement As A Result Of The Tragedy, In Particular But Not Exclusively Through:· Facilitating Access To Advice, Counselling, Services And Assistance That Support Recovery; And · By Associating Together The Survivors, Families And Dependents, And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In Order Relieve Such Needs. 2. To Preserve And Protect Physical And Mental Health By: · Facilitating Access To Advice, Counselling, Services And Assistance That Support Recovery; And · Raising Awareness Of Any Lessons Learned From The Grenfell Tower Tragedy With A View To Ensuring That No Similar Tragedy Takes Place In The Future; 3. To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit Among Survivors Of The Grenfell Tower Tragedy And Their Families And Dependents And Those Who Have Suffered Bereavement As A Result Of The Tragedy By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society. For The Purpose Of This Clause: ‘Socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Of More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Youth Or Old Age; Ill Health (Physical Or Mental); Substance Abuse Or Dependency Including Alcohol And Drugs; Discrimination On The Grounds Of Sex, Race, Disability, Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief, Creed, Sexual Orientation Or Gender Re-Assignment; Poor Educational Or Skills Attainment; Relationship And Family Breakdown; Poor Housing (That Is Housing That Does Not Meet Basic Habitable Standards; Crime (Either As A Victim Of Crime Or As An Offender Rehabilitating Into Society). ‘Grenfell Tower Tragedy’ Means The Fire Which Took Place On 14 June 2017 At Grenfell Tower (The 24-Storey Residential Tower Block Of Public Housing Flats In North Kensington, London, England).
