Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
To relieve the suffering of stray and shelter dogs in Romania. Organising and funding spay campaigns in rural Romania to aid in the reduction of the stray dog population. Our primary objective is to improve the lives of the dogs left behind in Romania. Annie's trust strives to provide assistance to the poorest public shelters within Romania, currently focusing on Adjud Vrancea in the north east.
With a small team of trusted unpaid Romanian volunteers, we have been able to increase the quality of life, living conditions, nutrition and medical treatment for the dogs. By providing essential flea and tick treatment we have eased the suffering caused by deadly mosquito and tick related diseases like heartworm, babesia and anaplasma as well as controlling the very serious skin condition demodex, which is rife.
We fund and provided sleep boxes and kennels for the dogs living outside in arctic conditions to provide a safe, warm and dry place to sleep.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for Puppies are vaccinated and provided with regular food and milk. the public benefit in While older and sick dogs receive more nutritious food to relation to these objects improve their condition and recovery. (include within this section the statutory Dogs within Romanian public shelters receive very little medical declaration that trustees care when they get sick or injured. There is no medical care for have had regard to the the dogs on the street who are left to suffer and die from guidance issued by the common accidents, brutality or disease. Charity Commission on We provide lifesaving medical treatment to all dogs in need, public benefit) that would otherwise suffer without our intervention. We operate a stray feeding programme funding food for abandoned dogs.
We believe that the most sustainable way of controlling the numbers of dogs on the streets and in the shelters is to promote spay and neuter campaigns throughout the country. We currently fund year-round sterilisation programs for the public shelter dogs, strays and also to owners with limited income for their pets. We educate to encourage better welfare for their animals.
Annie’s Trust do not rehome dogs directly to the public, but instead we liaise with trusted rescues and sanctuaries in the UK who find homes for the dogs within their existing network. This ensures a responsible approach to safely rehoming dogs.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
This year we have initiated a vaccination scheme where all abandoned and stray dogs are vaccinated when they are admitted to the shelter. This saves funds in the long run as it prevents common, potentially fatal and expensive diseases such as Parvovirus, Distemper and hepatitis from spreading throughout the shelter.
