Pwal.17 1.19 Olive Bearers has been working closely wth Bumala Visions Communty Based Organisation in Bumala. {BVCBO) Kenya FurKled 90 very needy children to attend full time education at St Annes Sthool - Kenyan Education Standards. In total, 151 children attended sctKX)I, the difference being funded by families who are in a position to support their own children. As St Annes develops over time, other parents are wanting their children to attend and therefore 15 children have entered a o)st sharing agreement, i.e. parents volunteering at the school and pay a sum towards their children's education. Also 46 children's fees are paid totally by their families. Children r￿1Ve 2 meals a day, medical care and a school unrfomi induding a new pair of shoes and school bag each Christmas. Many children attending state schools do not get fed and are therefore slow to leam. By feeding the children not only improves their health but enables their brain8 to absorb and retain infomiation A number of very needy adults who are connected to the children at school are also sponsored. This showed us that they had little or no food in th￿r hoffesl Two trustees {Muriel and Annie (Ellen) visited St Anne8 School for 2 weeks in June 2023. They were so wamily reeted and taken such good care of during their stay. They spent some time at the school during lesson3 and ate the same food as the children- small fish, greens and ugali. Pastor Ben & Lily together with Muriel and Annie attended many group rreetings wtth local pastors induding services at VOSH Church, Bumala and the Prayer Mountain in Kampala. Olive Bearers Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Olive Bearers

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Oliver Bearers charity for the period ended 31 December 2023.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

Basis of independent examiner's report

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. I have completed my examination.

Independent examiner's statement

I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Oliver Bearers charity for the period ended 31 December 2023.
