2024 to 2025 has been a good yearforthe Hall evidenced by the heathy ar￿Unts whith have been
presented by our Treasurer. Thank you Mrs Morgan for all your hard worl land audited, by the way.
by Mrjim Warr for which we are most grateful).
The Hall has progressed in many areas this year due to the hard work put in bythe u)mmtttee and I
am most grateful for the cwimitment shown by them all.
The detsil in the accounts and booking fomis show that we now have a very steady income from
many local groups who use the Hall on a regular basis- the W.1. Community Council. &)n8Sters. Film
Club. Bowls. Dabblers. Celtic Wdtersports. Windswept eto We were sorry to lose the Quilting and
Patchwork group to Marloes village hall at the end of last year. Also. Dale Amateur Dramatic
Soiciety disbanded this year which was very sad new5 as not only have they entertained the local
communtty butslso have made a substarrtial annual contribution to Hall funds Sin￿ 2(X)4. However,
I do know that the DADS membership decided to donate their final account to the Coronation Hall
and l arn pleased to announce that this should arrive in our account shortly-
We also have many other users on a less regular bass but who pri)vide a vital source of income-
Pembrokeshire Craftmakers. Landed in Dale. Coast]ands School, the Wild Swimmers. the Pembs. Half
marathon group, PeMbrOkeshi￿ County Council. the field Studies Council. the Seagrdss Project. the
Coastal Forum and an annual art tuition group for example. In 2024/25 wehosted two weddings,
5everdl private parties. a Pirate Day. a Bingo night. a wreath making session. Sea Sunday and a l am
sure there are a few others which I have forgotten to mention!
This high usage És very heartening and l think shows that the Hall is well and truly the village hub.
We have been paying parttcularattention this year to our duty of care to ourcustomer& Mrs Smtth
and Ms Hunt have worked tirelessly on health and safety issues, fire risk safety issues. general risk
assessments and have produced very comprehensive spreadsheetsof all aspects of the Hall and a
very dear and precise resume of when checking should be done. Already the fire alanns are checked
on a weekly basi5 and I can announce that we will be holding ourvery first fire drill in a couple of
days! Very many thanks to you two, you have shown due diligencel
I would like to thank our cleaner for his excellent cleaning servi￿S in the Hall. I know that he is in
the Hall cleaning very regularly. sometimes very early in the morning and that he is very aware of
making sure the Hall is clean between usage5. This is very much appreciated.
Also. we have been endeavourin8 for some time to upgrade Hall facilities. Mrs Bishop obtained
fijnding some time ago to btjy a pernianentty fixed projector, new sound system and new lightin8to
replace the strips in the main Hall. Along with these. the acoustics have been improved by the
installation of fabric in the roof and also in the Jubilee Suite and roof light blinds have also been
installed in the main hall. This work has 311 been carried out by Mr Sturley of the Torch Theatre.
Milford Haven, and despite the amount of time it has taken. with numerous, unforeseen headaches
along the way. we are nearing the end of the tunnel. We need Mr Sturley to13bel all the
contro15 and to teach us how to use them alll I can prove that the blinds a￿ working with thi5
remote control, and indeed they have been used by Coastlands School when they perfonmed their
Summer conort recentty. Thank you Mrs Bishop for overseeing this projett.
I do want to thank ourvery forbearing bookiFV secretary, Mrs Keogh. She somehow manages to
cope with all the pressures of trying to fft everyone into the hall.making sure booknng foryn5 are
properly completed and that all the day to day problems associated with the Hall bookings are

sorted. and yet Still srniles all the time. Thank you Mrs Keogh and aly) Mr Keogh for all the time he
puts into helping to keep the Hall runni￿ smoothly.
I should also mention another committee member. Mr Millership. who represents the Cornmunty
Council. We all know that he has had what you might call a very full year- he's still working full time,
increased the size of his frdmily by 60% and moved house so has found it very difficult to attend
meetings. He tells me that things have calmed down a loL is happy to rem?in on the committee tf
voted back and that he will be able to attend more regularly this year.
Also we persuaded Mr Stamp to join the committee last year but although he really does not wish to
be involved with adrninistrdtion on the commtttee he 15 very happy to help wrf(h practical needs in
the Hall when the need arises. Thank you Mrstamp.
And many, many thanks to my right hand man. Mr5 Banbury. Mrs Banbury is the most calming
Influen￿ I kr￿)w. She has e￿rythIng at herfingertips and if I go round to see her with a big problem
it always turns out she has alreadythought about it and sorted IL Atso. rfwmething needs to be
done she sorts it straiBht avrdy and l am so grdteful for her reliabilÉty.
l am happy to remain on the Hall committee rfvoted back but i would be perfectly happy rf someone
else would like totake the chair.
We have many challenges ahead. the fabric of the Hall is becoming shabby and needs a spruce up,
and it would be good this year to create opportunÉties for fund raising- I know that many of you
have ideas which we should bring to fruition particularly in the winter months ahead when the Hall
is less occupied.
Thankyou
Anne Meeke (Mrs)
