1. Objectives and Activities 

The charitable object of Meridian Group, as stated in its constitution, is: 

“The relief of poverty amongst homeless people and rough sleepers in Rotherham, by the provision of food, advice and washing facilities and other relevant means to relieve their suffering.” 

The charity’s aim is to support individuals experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping by providing basic needs and supportive services. 

2. Achievements and Performance 

During the reporting period, the charity has not yet undertaken any charitable activities. No services, events, or programmes have been delivered this year. 

The trustees have been focused on maintaining the charity’s registration and considering future plans for activities when resources allow. 

3. Financial Review 

No income or expenditure has been recorded for the reporting year.

The charity did not hold or manage any assets or reserves during this period. 

4. Structure, Governance, and Management 

Meridian Group is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered with the Charity Commission on. It is governed by a constitution adopted at the time of registration. 

The charity is overseen by a board of trustees who are responsible for governance and strategic direction. The trustees during the year were:

5. Reserves Policy 

As the charity has not yet received any funds, no formal reserves policy has been established. The trustees will review this as activities begin and funding is secured. 

6. Risk Management 

At this early stage, the main risks relate to funding and capacity to deliver services. The trustees will assess operational and safeguarding risks as part of planning for active delivery. 

7. Public Benefit 

The trustees confirm they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in carrying out their duties. Although no charitable activity has taken place during the reporting year, the charity’s objectives continue to serve the public benefit.
