## **TRUSTEES' ANNUAL REPORT** 

## **The trustees present their report and the accounts for the year ended March 31, 2024.** 

Nicky's Mission Foundation (NMF) is governed by Constitution and it's mailing and operating address is at **142 New Cross Road, New Cross, London SE14 5BA.** 

The trustees during the year were as stated on page 3 under the foundation's information 

## **Objects and Activities of the Foundation:** 

1.   The prevention or relief of poverty in London by providing items and services to individuals in need and/or charities and other organisations with similar activities (prevention and relieve of poverty) 

2.   The relief of financial hardship and/or distress among the people in need living in London, by providing such persons with food and household items which they could not have afford due to lack of financial means and by such other ways as the trustees deem fit from time to time 

The Foundation is run and managed by the trustees and volunteers. It is currently depend on trustees and members donations and supports for all its charity activities. 

The Trustees and members are pleased to announce that the donations received help the Foundation to achieved some of it's basic objective (elevation of poverty by providing food and other basic needs). 

For the year-ended 31 March 2024, we were able to provide foods and other daily basic needs to the less privilege within our catchment area. 

## **Audit and Independent Examiner Report:** 

In Accordance with the provisions of the Charities Act 2006, the Trustees agreed that an audit or independent examiner report is not required for this financial year due to the income level of the Foundation. 

The trustees have reviewed and approved the accounts for the year-ended 31st March 2021.

## **The trustees acknowledge their responsibilities for:-** 

1.   Ensuring that the Foundation (CIO) keeps accounting record which comply with part VIII of the Charities Act 2006 and Statement of Recommended Practice (FRS 102) 

2.   Preparing account which gives a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Foundation at the end of the financial year and of its incoming and outgoing resources for the financial year in accordance with the requirement of the charities Act relating to the accounts, so far as applicable to the Foundation. 

3.   Advantage has been taken of the exemptions conferred by section (A) of part III of schedule 8. In the opinion of the trustees, the association is entitled to those exemptions on the basis that it qualifies as small charities.

## **1.    Accounting Policies** 

## **i    Basis of Preparation** 

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with: 

- (a)   Part VI of the Charity Act 1993; 

- (b)   the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 1995 and 2000; 

- (c)   the statement od Recommended Practice 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities' issued 

in October 2000 ("SORP 2000") by the Charity Commission for England and Wales; 

- (d)  applicable accounting standards issued or adopted by the Accounting Standards Board; 

- (e)  the historic cost convention of accounting. 

## **ii   Grants and donations receivable** 

Donations and grants to the Foundation are recognised as an incoming resource when all of the following conditions have been met: The Foundation is legally entitled to receipt, if there is reasonable assurance of receipt and its monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability. 

## **iii  Bank interest** 

Bank interest is recognised as an incoming resource when received/credited to the bank statement. All bank interest is treated as unrestricted income to the General Fund. 

## **iv   Fund Accounting** 

Incoming resources that may be applied for the foundation's general purposes are treated as "unrestricted" incoming resources and are credited to the "Unrestricted Funds". Where donation or grant is required to be used for a specified purpose, the amount concerned is treated as a "restricted" incoming resource and is credited to appropriate "Restricted Funds". 

## **v    Fixed Assets** 

All items of capital expenditure below £200. 00 are written off as incurred.
