Board Report 27/02/2024
It’s the time of year again, where I have the pleasure to summarise what the Board has been achieving over the last 6 months.
BANKING
It is my pleasure to tell you that we have finally completed to move from Barclays to CAF. The Barclays bank account has been closed now and all transactions have been moved to CAF. Iain Schofield is our Superadmin and always happy to contact CAF when we face issues. Dave and Jan have got a CAF debit card which can be used for church purchases.
COMPLIANCE
The Board has worked through and completed 12 out of the 13 by the Compliance Committee suggested areas – well done!!
The last area is Safeguarding. Jan and Trish will be taking the lead on this and are looking into completing some training. This will be worked on over the coming months.
(Note: at present, we are still waiting for a confirmation from the Land Registry to say that we have an Official Custodian in place)
DONATIONS
Last year at the Annual Members Meeting it was decided for the first time to reserve a lump sum of £10.000 for donations to Christian Science organisations throughout the year. This worked really well. We supported Whitehaven Nursing facility and CS Healing in Africa.
Donation suggestions for 2024 will be discussed later.
Thank you
Andrea Page (Chair of the Board)
