During the 2023-24 peri(yJ, we prioriiised the growth of the NatUTe Atlion Hub, our volunteering plaifom for
cnvir4)nrntnt ¢xp¢rt5 wanting to offer their skills to eommuniiy grcvjps acting for thatU￿. W¢ ￿ntinued to ￿ach out to
Community groups and communicate thc op￿rtun]ry for expert ￿l￿ance thr04]gh naworks. climate hub$ and partner
relationships.
We have steadily grown our volunteer base. to ensure that we had the number of volunt¢¢TS and the range of ski115 and
cotnpet¢nci&experience needed. A signifJc4nt development in this resr￿1 w&s the partnership built with the ERM
Foundation who offered significani expert lime io communiiy nature restoration ihrough the Naiure Action Hub.
Temple Group LX)niinued its engagemcni with the Naiure Athlon E4ub by offering tmploytts thr opp￿rtUnity to
volunteer io sUPPOrt community wups acmss the region. Discuwons are llndmvay fvrther bK environmcntal
consllltancie5 to grow partscipaiion and makethe offering a stttor-wide initiative.

Nature Corridor
TSF is ¢ommitt¢d 10 supporting the developrncnl of nature corrid<￿ in partÉcular an the South East, in re5pon5e to the
threat io wldlife of divided and shrinkiaJB habitsis.
In the 2023 -2024 pEri¢)d w¢ built our work on nature Corridors by being an active partner in the Weald to Waves
100 Tnile nature ¢ortidor along the Adur. Anm and Ouse rivers through E3St and West Su55eK. 15 /0 of the ¢OTridor is
now pledged. with plcdgei rangiEJg from intensively fanned arable lat￿ to Con￿rVation areas covering ovtr 12.61x1
acre5_
TSF continued to reach out to comrnuT¥ity WPS atjd lando*ners Weald to Waves particularly aloTLg ihe Ouse,
bul also the length of the corridoT special intere￿ areas. This inl'olved bringing Weald lo Waves to the attention of
individual4 cornmunitie5 and nalure reS￿ration groups al(x)g thc ou￿ and building links brfween them and the project
l¢adcrs.
The Weald ￿ Waves Co￿ld0T is landowner-ld and as $￿Ch is ¢n￿gIng prcdominanlly with farmers and householdcrs
with gardens. In addition to its engagem￿1 work a]ong the Ouse. TSF played a significant role in opening the dialogue
to include org2nisations who are noi agriculture ff dOMe￿iC land0￿MerS. In parricular, we reached out to the golf se¢tOT
who despite some very int¢r¢siirtg work on sevcraj cour5e5 haN'e preViou￿Y iended to be part of wider naiure
r¢cov¢ry distussions.

In September 2023 we organi5ed the first 8￿hering of golf clubs in and around the Wtald to Wave5 corridor 10 discu&s
nature res￿ration in the secior, ond I￿k ai best pra¢ii¢e. issues overcome support available. 50 people including 18
golf clubs attetjded the Se￿}￿ar that was ho*cd by Lewcs Golf Club. Experts from the South Dowm5 National Parl
Ertglartd Golf, the British and Intcmational Golf Greenkcepu.s AsxKiatioD. Buglife and RSPB attended. Feedback
was very positiv¢ and participants Tequc5ted that the dialogue shwld continue, in particular bringing senior golf
Tnanag¢m¢nt into th¢ diScu￿10n& Funher meetings are planned with the intention of dev¢loping work natUTt
restoraiion in golf and involving as many clubs as possible in the Weald io Waves wrriik)r and local ar
