TTOBs was founded in 2019 by Natasha Moore and Rachel Jordan with a mission statement
## ‘ _**Offering an umbrella of emotional and pastoral support for ladies and families affected by cancer’**_
This pastoral support now extends to Stafford, Stoke, Burton, New Cross (Wolverhampton) and Cannock.
In 2019 Rachael and Natasha laid out their 5-year plan with key objectives for the organisation.
## **Overview**
The charity had another very successful year providing support to members and those in the community touched by cancer.
The new 5-year plan discussed at the previous AGM has not yet been finalised, but the aim is for it to be completed this year.
## **Key Events**
In September the charity’s incredible work was recognised by nominations at the Your Heroes Awards organise by Staffordshire University. Rachael was nominated for Charity Champion or Community Volunteer of the year and the charity itself was nominated for Community Group of the Year which they won.
In October the charity’s second retreat was held in Dysert, North Wales. Twenty-two members touched by cancer met for a _‘weekend of connection, relaxation and unforgettable moments’_ . There were a wide range of activities including a Sound Bath Workshop, scenic walks, yoga sessions, dancing and paddle in the sea. This year’s retreat is currently being planned.
On the 31[st] October the charity celebrated its fifth anniversary - an incredible testament to the vision of Rachael and Tash. The milestone was marked by members at an afternoon tea at Cup a Cha.
In November there was an enjoyable weekend of charity runs at Alton Towers. The event was very successful and will take place again this year.
The charity’s first wreath making event was held in December. Fuelled by mince pies and mulled wine members creative skills came to the fore and spectacular individual festive wreaths were created in a convivial atmosphere.
The fourth annual charity ball was held at the County Showground, Stafford in March and raised over £23,000.
## **Support Work**
The charity provided chemo kits to Staffordshire and Wolverhampton hospitals.
In August, BBC news featured the ‘Big Bertha’ training kit being donated to Royal Wolverhampton NHS trust. The kit demonstrates how to carry out self-checks at home.
Every month at the meet and greet members are offered the opportunity to experience a different type of support including hypnotherapy and holistic wellbeing.
The charity is looking to purchase a moisture scanning device at a cost of £4250.
The mobile mammogram scanners will soon be delivered to the County Hospital.
