**Objects:** 1. TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC A LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM IN MEVAGISSEY. 2. TO WORK FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF MEVAGISSEY AND DISTRICT AS FROM TIME TO TIME CONSTITUTED BY STIMULATING INTEREST IN AND CARE FOR THE BEAUTY, HISTORY AND CHARACTER OF THE SAID TOWN AND BY ENCOURAGING THE PRESERVATION OF FEATURES FO GENERAL PUBLIC AMENITY OR HISTORIC INTEREST THEREIN.

**Activities:** The museum has a collection of exhibits and photographs depicting life in a fishing village from the 1800s.  It is set in part of a former boat building yard dating back to 1745.  The collection depicts life in a Cornish fishing village from the 1800s. There are translations available in several languages to help overseas visitors with their understanding of the museum.
