Annual Report Accounts

The Directors present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2025. The trustees who served during the year and up to the date of this report are listed on page 2.
Three trustees have resigned (James Beynon, Ann Richards and Ruth Morgan) to make way for new ones.
Structure, governance and management
The Charity is managed by trustees who are appointed by the church leadership. The board of trustees will consist of members equally representing the church leadership and church attendees.
Charitable objects
A) To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of beliefs appearing in the schedule hereto in Carmarthenshire and in such other parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees may from time-to-time think fit.
B) To relieve persons who are in conditions of need or hardship or who are aged or sick and to relieve the distress caused thereby in the said county and in such other parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees may from time-to-time think fit.
C) To promote and fulfil such other charitable purposes beneficial to the community in the said county and in such other parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees may from time-to-time think fit.
Charity report
This is the fifth account of The Calon Church Trust, located in central Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, which operates various ministries.
The church has strong Sunday attendance and gained many new members this year.

Stephen Hevey has commenced his “Minister in Training” (MIT) program with the Assemblies of God GB Denomination that Calon Church is affiliated to and we are grateful for the support of Pastor Tim Robinson who mentors Steven. Pastor Phylip Morgan continues to support the leadership team and minister at the church in this time of transition while Stephen completes the MIT program to gain his ministerial qualifications. Phylip also serves as Chair of the Trustees.
The church holds several weekly bible study groups. Currently, no services or ministry activities are being conducted online, as the church has resumed thriving in-person gatherings following the transition from the Covid-19 period.
The church discontinued the YABC (Youth project for young people) during the year due to a lack of Volunteers. We are hopeful of restarting this ministry should we manage to recruit new volunteers.
We run a regular coffee morning and various services and ministries during the week bringing teaching to the congregation.
Stephen & Aishling Hevey are responsible for the care of the church members and keep touch with people and support them with their needs.
In summary, we had a successful year and have strong plans for leadership transition at Calon Church Trust.
