|Summary of the main achievements of the<br>charity during the year|1) Completion of Shrine room: The charity successfully completed the<br>construction of a unique shrine room featuring the only hand-crafted<br>statue of Lord Buddha in the UK. This marks a significant cultural and<br>spiritual milestone for the organization and the community.<br>2) VAT and Gift Aid registration: For the first time, the Charity managed<br>to reclaim taxes on eligible donations, increasing their financial efficiency<br>and funding potential.<br>3) Ground floor completion: With financial support from the Big Lottery<br>Fund, the Charity completed the construction of the ground floor of our<br>premises. This enhances the facility's functionality and accessibility for<br>various community activities.<br>4) Automated Gate Installation<br>The charity installed an automated gate funded by the Home Office's<br>security Funds. This improves the safety and security of the charity's<br>premises, ensuring a secure environment for visitors and resident<br>Buddhist monks.<br>5) Sunday Dhamma School:<br>The Charity launched a Sunday Dhamma School with now has well over<br>40 students enrolled. This initiative provides religious education and<br>community engagement for young people, fostering cultural and spiritual<br>development.<br>6) Sri Lanka dance classes: The Charity introduced dance classes that<br>teach traditional Srilankan dances.<br>7) Mindfulness sessions: The charity began offering mindfulness<br>sessions, catering to individuals of Srilankan heritage and the local native<br>population. These sessions promote mental well-being and and cultural<br>integration , supporting the communities's holistic healt||
