We seek to live out the Great Commission. given by Jesus Christ to his disciple5 to rnake disciples. baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. and teaching them to observe all of Jesus. commands. As part of this. we seek to grow a Bible-believin& Gospel-proclaimin& Spirit-filled Church in Fareharn for today and future generations. During 2022, we have preached sermon series from the Old Testament includin8 Habakkuk, Ruth and Psalms.. and have p￿ached through a large portion of Matthe￿S Gospel and all of Colossian5 from the New Testament. In 2022. Jeff Moss preached a thematic sermon series looking at The Journey Home, a serie5 on life, death and Jesus, return. Wisitors to the Church have often commented appreciatively on the Bible teaching we provide. Throughout 2022, we ran three Life Groups that met weekly. These groups encouraged time together in one anotherf5 homes to build friendships. pray togethèr and learn together in discipleship The whole Church meets together to pray each month. supporting one anotherf5 needs, as well a5 praying for our town and the World. Each Sunday we offer Children's Work for children under 11. There have game5, crafts, videos and teachinÈ from the Bible to help our children grow in understanding of who God is and the salvation offered in Jesus Christ. In 2022 we launched sèparate youth work for the first time. The youth in the Church take part in the adults meeting one week and have age-specific teaching in a classroom the other week. There are a150 midweek activities. learning more about Jesus. In September 2022. we employe<l Jason Manning a5 Administrator and Under 18s Ministry Lead. He brought leadership and greater theological input for our under 18s and support for the parènts in the Church. We have also funded hiffl to Study a graduate diploma at Union Bible College In 2022. we saw excellent growth in nurnbers. as people from the local area around Orchard Lea Junior School came to visit and stay with the church We brought 24 adults (with 14 children) into formal church mernbership at the start of the year, with others completing a membership course at the end of the year ready to be brought into membership soon We pray that in 2023 God will continue to brin88rowth and impact lives with the Good News of Jesus Christ. In addition to caring for the people in the church and local area. through a partnership with an individual missionary we n¢)w help alleviate poverty in East Asia and we continue to look for local partners, working to care for people in Fareham and the surrounding region. Mission and outreath As we emerged from lockdown, numbers on a Sunday have steadity inc￿35ed. On average. 45 people Eather. adults and children, that was an increase of 50% ￿r%US 2021 We also saw an accelerated number of vKsitors towards the end of 2022. who have stayed in 2023. We now gather between 70 and 80 people every Sunday Our Pastor, Duncan Sills, uses some of his employed time serwng Commission Ipart of New Frontiersl who seek to preach the Gospel and reach out across nations. On a monthly ba515, he has been teaching theology to people auoss the South of England. This was the third year the course h35 run and Duncan is now responsible for leading the course, as we take our first steps 35 3 charity into a more formal education Sètting. In 2022. we continued to support a rni5sion3ry in East Asia. His work alleviate5 poverty and shares the Gospel with people who have never heard it before. We have also begun regularly supporting Commission. the family of churche5 we are part of. They use their funds to spread thè Gospel across the UK. India. Spain, Portugal and USA and into new regions. They also help alleviate poverty in those fegions FLrruRE DEVELOPMENTS 2022 was a very encouraging year for us. We saw good growth and began to impa¢t the lives of people in Fareham in greater ways than in previous years. We have significant plan5 moving forward and with 2 fv11 time employees good levels of resources to make it happen We will be launching more life groups in 2023. as well as tri311ing a concept called focus groups, learnin together about a particular theological topic We are looking to build deeper relationships with people in the community, looking for ways to help people in need across our town. We have had a meeting with Fareham Foodbank and may look to develop this relationship moving fo￿ard. We will be runnin8 an Alpha course for the first time after Easter and hope to see a Gospel irnpact, with new people learning the Gospel and putting thèir faith in Christ Our under 185 work ￿11 expand-we will take a group of teenagers to Newday, a5 well as offering greatèr input for the youth in our church. In August the Church will attend the Commis5bon Festival in Shepton MalletL ¢amping and learning about God all together. Our pastor. Ouncan Sills, is a150 certified to work with vulnerable adults. Financial We are grateful to God for his Benerous fin3ntFal provision. The trustees protect the eharity by preparin8 budgets each year,. monitoring actual receipts and Spend a8ainst budget.. ensuring we have the funds to continuè running the charity appropriately.. and having the a¢counts inttependently checked each year. Three different people have access to the accounts and so ensure each other person 15 using finan￿ appropriately. rnent Policies As we take on a new member of 5tsff, CCF have adopted a number of employment policies designed to protect our employees. These will need tQ grow and adapt over time. FINANCIAL REVIEW AND RESERVES POLICY £72,051 income ha5 been received in 20221£39.570 Fn 20211 and payments made of £62,5701£31.4541. This brought total reserve5 to £62,364 all of which was being held in the bank. Thi5 is well above the required 3 month operating cost requirement. Our giving has nearty doubled in one calendar year. whFch has enabled us to be more genelous and do significantly more in the mission field. We are greatty encouraged by our financial position and give praise to God for the real generosity of church members who have grown giving to the church to nearly double what we expected $0 earfy in the life of the church. Responsibilities and basls of report As Trustees you are responsible forthe preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Actl- You consider that an audit is not required for thi5 year under section 144121 of the 2011 Act and that an independent examination is needed. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept bythe Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual itemsor disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanation5 from you as Trustees concerning any such matter5.
