## **How It Works**

Sponsors commit to supporting a child with monthly contributions. Funds are used to provide direct cash assistance for school, healthcare, clothing, and family support.

Sponsors receive regular updates, including school reports and progress summaries, to stay connected with the child’s journey.

## **Key Components**

**1. Monthly Cash Support** : Financial assistance is provided to cover school expenses, clothing, healthcare, and family financial needs, ensuring the child’s holistic development.

**2. Educational Monitoring:** Regular collection of school reports to track each child’s progress, which are shared with their sponsors to keep them informed and engaged.

**3. Moral Support:** Every two months, orphans are invited to our center for a day filled with activities, mentorship, and encouragement, helping them feel valued and supported.

**4. Family Support:** Assistance extends beyond the child to provide stability for their families, creating a supportive environment for their growth.

## **The Impact**

Through the Noble Connection Orphan Sponsorship Program, over 100 orphans have been rescued from the streets, where they once survived by collecting plastics and rubbish. With stability, financial support, educational opportunities, and moral encouragement, these children are now thriving with hope and purpose. We believe no child should be left behind, and our program is dedicated to empowering these children to pursue their dreams.

## Aysha’s story

## **The journey from the streets to a brighter future**

Aysha was just 6 years old when we first met her, She was sitting on the side of a bustling street, her tiny hands outstretched, begging for coins to survive another day, her eyes, though filled with the weight of hardships beyond her years, held a spark of hope that refused to be extinguished.

Today, Aysha is thriving, she loves school, makes friends easily, and dreams of becoming a teacher to help others like her. Her transformation is a powerful reminder of what a little support and kindness can achieve.

Through Noble Connection, we stepped in to rewrite Aysha’s story, we began sponsoring her with **£60** a month, ensuring she had access to food, clothing, and a safe environment. Most importantly, we enrolled her in school, giving her the opportunity to learn and grow. From the very first day, Aysha embraced her new life with enthusiasm, her hunger for knowledge shining brightly.

**Aysha’s smile now tells a story of hope, resilience, and the promise of a brighter future.**

## **Why support orphaned children?**

Afghanistan has over 1 million orphans, many of whom lost their parents due to years of conflict. These children live in poverty and struggle to access education, healthcare, and basic needs. With the right support, they can escape poverty and create better futures. By sponsoring an orphan, you can give them hope and the chance for education and growth.

## **Education Support Program**

Give hope to Afghan orphans who deserve education

## **The Problem**

Afghanistan's education system faces challenges, especially in rural and conflict areas. Many families can't afford school supplies, and schools lack basic facilities. Teachers have few resources, and girls face cultural, security, and societal barriers. This leads to low literacy rates, particularly among rural girls.

**Better Performance:** Books and stationery remove financial barriers, helping students focus. **Community Empowerment:** Educated children improve their families' economic conditions. **Girls' Education:** Overcoming barriers empowers girls and breaks the cycle of poverty. **Teacher Support:** Resources boost teacher motivation and education quality. **Reduced Child Labor:** Education reduces the need for children to work, benefiting their future.

## Mohammed Shabeer’s story

Mohammed Shabeer, an 8-year-old orphan, lives in a crumbling rented house with his mother, his ailing 16-year-old brother, and his 7-year-old sister. After his father’s death four years ago, his mother, Fatima, works tirelessly as a maid, but her earnings barely sustain the family.

Shabeer spends his days cleaning shoes on the streets to help support them, longing to go to school like other children.

Despite their struggles, he remains hopeful, often telling his mother, “One day, Mama, I’ll go to school.” one day, Shabeer catches the attention of a man from Noble Connection.

Shabeer’s story is just one of over 100 similar tales from Noble Connection, each showcasing the transformative power of education and support.

Moved by his story, the team visits his family and offers to sponsor his education. Shabeer is enrolled in school and now studies in the 3rd grade.

Though he initially struggled, he works hard to catch up. His perseverance pays off when he earns second position in his class, inspiring his family. With support from Noble Connection, his brother begins to recover and starts vocational training, while his sister dreams of joining school too.

As their lives begin to change, Shabeer’s family finds renewed hope and strength. **“We will not just survive—we will rise,”** Shabeer tells his mother, and for the first time in years, Fatima believes in a brighter future for her children.

## **Why support the education of Afghan children?**

Millions of children in Afghanistan, especially in rural areas, can't attend school due to conflict, poverty, and lack of resources. They face barriers like no schools, qualified teachers, or basic materials. With your support, these children can access education, giving them the chance to overcome their circumstances and build a better future. Your donation helps break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter tomorrow for them and their communities.

Water Projects

## **Stage 1:**

**Initial Survey and Assessment**

## **Give life, Give water**

## **The Problem**

Water scarcity is a major issue in Afghanistan, especially in rural areas. Years of conflict, poor infrastructure, and climate change have led to a lack of clean drinking water. Many families rely on unsafe sources, causing waterborne diseases like cholera and diarrhoea. Women and children are most affected, spending hours daily fetching water. The water shortage also harms agriculture and hygiene, worsening poverty and health conditions.

## **The Benefit of Water Wells**

- Deploy survey teams to assess villages and communities facing acute water scarcity.

- Identify high-need areas and consult with local leaders to determine suitable locations for water wells.

## **Stage 2:**

**Site Selection and Approval**

- Collaborate with community leaders to finalise well locations, ensuring they are in central or accessible areas for maximum reach.

- Conduct technical feasibility checks to ensure the long-term sustainability of the wells.

## **Stage 3:**

**Construction and Implementation**

**Health Improvements:** Fewer waterborne diseases, improving community health, especially for children and the elderly.

**Time Savings:** Women and children save time previously spent fetching water, allowing more focus on education and work.

**Women Empowerment:** With more time available women can engage in education or income-generating activities.

**Better School Attendance:** Access to clean water supports hygiene and boosts school attendance in rural areas.

**Long-term Development:** Clean water improves agriculture, hygiene, and overall quality of life in rural communities.

- Hire skilled labour and contractors for well construction.

- Ensure wells are equipped with proper hand pumps and durable infrastructure.

## **Stage 4:**

**Community Training and Maintenance**

- Train local community members on basic well maintenance to ensure long-term usage.

- Establish a reporting system for repairs and follow-up visits.

## to Angoro Village, Kunar Bringing Clean Water Province

## **A Daily Struggle for Clean Water**

Access to clean water was a major challenge for the residents of Angoro Village. With no nearby water sources, the community depended on contaminated streams and stagnant pools, located up to 4 kilometres away. Women and children spent hours every day collecting this unsafe water, putting them at risk of waterborne diseases like cholera, diarrhoea, and typhoid.

This situation had a profound impact on the community. Children missed school to help gather water, hindering their education and future prospects. Women struggled to balance household duties with the exhausting task of fetching water. Poor sanitation and hygiene only worsened the health conditions, trapping families in a cycle of illness and hardship.

## **Identifying and Responding to the Need**

Noble Connection Charity learned about the water crisis in Angoro Village through its local survey teams. After a thorough assessment, our team worked with village elders and leaders to fully understand the issue. The findings were compiled into a report and shared with a Noble Connection donor.

Recognizing the urgency, the donor approved the proposal, allowing the project to move forward. Throughout the process, Noble Connection kept the donor informed with regular updates, ensuring transparency and accountability.

## **The Solution Constructing a Lifesaving Water Well**

With donor support, Noble Connection initiated the construction of a durable water well in Angoro Village. The project followed a systematic and inclusive approach:

**Site Selection:** A central location was chosen in consultation with local leaders, ensuring the well would serve all 110 families efficiently.

**Community Engagement:** Villagers participated in the planning and construction process, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility.

**Construction and Monitoring:** The well was built using high-quality materials to ensure durability and resilience. Regular updates, including photos and progress reports, were shared with the donor at every stage.

**Testing and Training:** Once completed, the water was tested for quality, and villagers were trained in basic well maintenance to ensure its long-term sustainability.

## Transforming Lives in Angoro Village

## **The newly constructed water well has brought transformational change to the lives of the people in Angoro Village:**

- Over 110 families now have direct access to safe, clean drinking water within their community.

- Waterborne diseases have significantly decreased, resulting in healthier families and reduced medical expenses.

- Children, freed from the daily task of collecting water, have returned to school, focusing on their studies and securing a brighter future.

- The project has instilled hope and unity in the village, paving the way for further progress and development.

## **Call to Action**

_**"This water well has transformed our lives. Our children are back in school, and our families are healthier and happier. We are deeply grateful to Noble Connection Charity and its donor for bringing clean water to our village,"**_

said a village elder from Angoro.

This success story from Angoro Village demonstrates the life-changing impact of clean water access. However, countless other communities across Afghanistan still endure the daily struggle for safe water.

By supporting Noble Connection, you can help us replicate this success in other underserved areas.

**Your** contribution can bring hope, health, and opportunity to families in desperate need. Together, we can make a lasting difference- one water well at a time.

## **How It Works**

1. Donors contribute to a fund that provides food packages, cash assistance, and sewing machines to widows in need.

2. Funds and resources are allocated directly to the widows, ensuring transparency and effectiveness.

3. Regular updates and impact stories are shared with donors to highlight the program’s impact.

## Taj Bibi’s story

I am Taj Bibi, a widow and mother of seven children. Life became a daily struggle after my husband’s sudden death. With no support system and no income, I faced the harsh reality of providing for my children alone.

I tried seeking help, but the local resources were overwhelmed, and I often went to bed anxious and hopeless, unsure how to keep my family afloat.

Everything changed when Noble Connection stepped in. They provided me with a sewing machine and training in tailoring, giving me the tools and confidence to start a small business. At first, it was challenging, but with their guidance and encouragement, I began sewing clothes for my neighbours.

Noble Connection didn’t just give me a sewing machine; they gave me hope and a future.

Slowly, I built a reputation, and my income started to grow.

Today, I can proudly say I am able to feed my children and send them to school.

For just £600, you can help a widow like me gain skills and tools to rebuild her life. Together, we can create more stories of resilience and transformation.

My eldest daughter dreams of becoming a teacher, and my youngest son wants to be a doctor. Their smiles and dreams remind me of how far we’ve come, and I am deeply grateful for the support that made this possible.

Afghanistan is home to nearly 2 million widows, a number that ranks among the highest globally. Regardless of age, these women face the immense challenge of providing for families, often with four or more children. Yet, their resilience and determination demonstrate that, with the right support and resources, they are more than capable of overcoming these obstacles and building a better future for their families.

## Bringing Health, Hope, and Healing to Those in Need **Life-Saving Surgeries:**

**Life-Saving Surgeries:** Emergency procedures save lives, especially for women needing critical care.

Access to healthcare is a major issue in Afghanistan, especially in rural and poor areas. The healthcare system is underdeveloped, with shortages of doctors, facilities, and equipment. Many families can't afford care, leaving treatable illnesses untreated. Women face extra barriers to seeking treatment, and maternal health is a major concern due to high childbirth mortality rates. Financial struggles also prevent patients from receiving necessary surgeries or emergency care.

**Reduced Maternal Mortality:** Focusing on maternal surgeries lowers high death rates among Afghan women. **Health Awareness:** Community outreach boosts knowledge of hygiene, nutrition, and prevention.

**Economic Relief:** Free medical services ease the financial burden on poor families. **Increased Productivity:** Healthy individuals can contribute to their communities’ well-being.

**Stronger Healthcare:** Working with clinics and doctors improves healthcare in rural areas.

## **Your Support Can Save Lives Noble Connections Healthcare Services Program focuses on meeting the urgent healthcare needs of vulnerable communities. With your support, we can:**

      - Fund life-saving surgeries for patients like Zohra.

      - Provide essential medical care to families in need.

   - Partner with clinics to deliver quality healthcare to underserved areas.

- Support women and children, who are most affected by the healthcare crisis in Afghanistan.

- **Your generosity can save lives and make a lasting impact today**

Zohra’s story

## **A 28 yr old mother**

Zohra was diagnosed with a life-threatening abdominal condition that required immediate surgery. Unfortunately, her family was unable to afford the necessary medical treatment.

Without it, she was left in severe pain, bedridden and unable to care for her children. As a result, Zohra was unable to care for her children, putting her family in a dire situation.

With no other options available, they faced the crushing reality of not knowing how to move forward.

Noble Connections partnered with Al Madina Clinic to give Zohra the life-saving surgery she desperately needed.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the charity covered Zohra’s medical expenses, including post-operative care, ensuring that she received the treatment she needed. During her recovery, we also provided assistance to her family helping them navigate this difficult time.

Zohra made a full recovery, and once again she was able to care for her children and support her family. Her children were able to return to school resuming their education and building their futures.

The intervention not only saved Zohra’s life but also restored hope for her entire family.

This is the power of your support – it transforms lives, bringing hope and healing to those in desperate need.

## **Why Your Help is Urgent**

Fund an emergency medical consultation treatment for a patient in need for just:

£100

Every day, families are forced to make impossible choices between seeking medical care and meeting their basic needs. Without immediate action, lives will be lost, and families will fall deeper into poverty. By joining us in this mission, you can ensure that no one is left behind in receiving the care they desperately need.

Your support can make all the difference.

Food Aid & Ramadhan Distribution

## **What is Ramadhan?**

Ramadan is a special month for Muslims, focusing on worship and strengthening their relationship with Allah, through fasting from food and water during the day.

**Food insecurity is a major problem in Afghanistan** , worsened by poverty, conflict, and economic instability. Many families struggle to get enough food, leading to malnutrition, especially among children, pregnant women, and the elderly.

During Ramadan, the situation becomes more severe as families cannot afford food to break their fasts. This lack of food harms physical health and affects the dignity and morale of households already facing hardship.

## **Why Your Zakat Matters**

## **Bringing Hope During Ramadhan**

Giving Zakat purifies your wealth and helps those in need. By donating to Noble Connection, you ensure that your Zakat reaches widows, orphans, and poor families. Your contribution provides food, education, and healthcare to those in urgent need.

Noble Connection is dedicated to ensuring no family in Afghanistan faces hunger during Ramadan. Each year, we provide food packages with essentials like flour, rice, oil, dates, and sugar to vulnerable families across the country. These packages help families observe their fasts with dignity.

When you give Zakat, you're not just fulfilling a religious duty—you're making a real difference, improving lives, and offering hope to those facing hardship. Your generosity helps provide relief and opportunities for people to rebuild their lives with dignity.

Through our Ramadan Distribution Program, we aim to spread generosity and compassion. With your support, we can help more families in need, allowing them to experience the true spirit of Ramadan.

During Ramadhan 2024, Noble Connection launched a vital initiative, providing meals to over 5,000 people, including road workers and children who face hunger daily. For just £1.50 per person, we provided nutritious meals for Iftar and Suhoor, ensuring these vulnerable individuals were not without food. This initiative reflects the spirit of Ramadan, highlighting community and compassion, and offering hope to those in need across Afghanistan.

**This Ramadan, make a difference** - feed the hungry, uplift the vulnerable, and transform lives with Noble Connection.

**Affordability with High Impact:**

For just £1.50 per person, each individual received a nutritious, wholesome meal. This modest contribution showed how small acts of kindness can create significant, life-changing impacts for those in need.

**Feeding the Hungry:**

Our initiative reached some of the most vulnerable individuals, including road workers enduring long hours of gruelling labour under harsh conditions, and children who suffer from malnutrition. These individuals, who often struggle to access food, were among the primary beneficiaries of our program.

**Strengthening Community Bonds:**

Beyond providing food, this initiative brought hope, comfort, and a sense of dignity to those who were struggling.

It reflected the true spirit of Ramadhan—uniting communities, fostering compassion, and ensuring that no one was left behind during this sacred month.

## Family Support Program

## **The Problem**

In Afghanistan, many families struggle to meet basic needs due to poverty, unemployment, and economic instability. Vulnerable groups like widows, the disabled, and those affected by conflict face even greater challenges in securing food, shelter, and healthcare. Without financial support, these families risk hunger, poor health, and ongoing poverty, affecting whole communities. This cycle of hardship is hard to break, leading to continued uncertainty and despair for those in need.

## **Proposed Activities:**

## **Noble Connection’s Contribution**

Aim to empower families to improve their quality of life by alleviating financial burdens and helping them break the cycle of poverty.

Currently sponsoring three families, providing each family with **£50** (5,000 AFN) every month to support their basic living expenses.

- Identify vulnerable families in need of long-term financial support through surveys and community recommendations.

- Provide monthly financial assistance to help families meet their basic needs, including food, education, healthcare, and shelter.

- Monitor and evaluate the impact of the support program to ensure families are benefiting and thriving, making adjustments as necessary to maximise effectiveness.

## Abdulwodood’s family story

After losing their father to illness, the five-member Abdulwodood family fell into extreme poverty, struggling for food, shelter, and education. With no stable income, the children were forced into labor, keeping them from school and a better future, trapped in a cycle of hardship with no support.

We guided the widow in exploring income-generating activities, leading her to learn tailoring and pursue self-employment, improving the family's financial stability and future prospects.

The impact of the support was immediate and profound. The children, once forced to work, were able to return to school, resuming their education without the burden of labour. Their academic prospects improved, offering them a pathway out of poverty and into a brighter future.

Noble Connection identified the Abdulwodood family as a beneficiary of its Family Support Program. After a thorough assessment, we began providing a monthly stipend of 5,000 AFN (approximately £50), aimed at alleviating the immediate financial burdens the family faced.

The financial support gave the Abdulwodood family consistent access to food, improving their health, well-being, and renewed hope for the future.

This crucial support allowed the family to meet their basic needs, including purchasing food and securing shelter, ensuring that the children no longer had to work and could return to school.

For the widow, the opportunity to learn tailoring provided a sense of empowerment and independence. This new skill allowed her to earn an income, contributing to the family’s finances and enabling her to maintain the family’s newfound stability.

The Abdulwodood family, once facing an uncertain future, is now on a path to self-sufficiency, thanks to the support of Noble Connection Charity’s Family Support Program.

## **Your Impact Matters**

With just 5,000 AFN a month (approximately **£50** ), you can provide a family with the essentials they need to thrive—ensuring they have food on the table, children back in school, and the chance to build a brighter future. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings hope and creates lasting change for families in desperate need. Your support helps break the cycle of poverty and offers a pathway to a better tomorrow for those who need it most.
