## MUSIC FOR MEMORIES CHARITY ## ANNUAL REPORT 2024 ## **Introduction** Following the relocation of Two trustees to the Forest of Dean, and a third to Yorkshire a decision was taken to relaunch in the Forest of Dean from 1[st] March 2024. ## **Achievements** In 2024, over 80 playlists and headsets have been produced and distributed across the Forest of Dean. Community contacts are being developed, and we are gaining a reputation for providing a great personal service which is leading to a strong pipeline of future headset recipients. Partnership with Remap providing a new accessible on/off switch for 40 headsets Linda has done a great job in introducing the headsets into the care home setting. We will need to develop a protocol with the care homes to ensure they are used in line with the individuals care plan. ## **Challenges** The main challenge for 2024 has been balancing the need for funding and growth alongside our resources in terms of volunteers and funding. The last quarter of 2024 had a strong focus on a future funding pipeline which would potentially allow us to employ a co-ordinator part-time to focus on growth and outreach allowing the Trustees to look at funding applications. There will be an ongoing need to refresh our community contacts within the Forest of Dean. ## **Hopes for the future** As mentioned above we hope to be able to employ someone in 2025 to lead the development of the charity and its work. This will be dependent on funding outcomes. The addition of one or two Trustees will be a priority for 2025. As we grow there will be a need for a greater presence on social media, particularly the development of our own website. We are extremely grateful for the support of our team of volunteers and all they have made possible in just 10months.
