TEWKESBURY MUSEUM INTERPRETS OBJECTS OF IMPORTANCE TO THE HISTORY OF THE TOWN AND SURROUNDING AREA IN A WAY THAT ALLOWS MAXIMUM PUBLIC ACCESSIBILITY AND ENJOYMENT OF THE COLLECTION AND WHICH PROVIDES AN ATTRACTION TO TOURISTS, A RESOURCE FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, AND A VALUABLE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:1. The Establishment And Maintenance Of One Or More Museums In Tewkesbury.2. The Advancement Of Public Knowledge And Education About The History And Heritage Of Tewkesbury And Its Environs.these Objects Will Be Achieved, In Particular, But Not Exclusively, By:a. Effective Stewardship Of The Cio’s Collections And Archives.b. Exhibiting, Interpreting And Providing Access To Collections And Archives.c. Collecting Artefacts In The Cio’s Own Right, Or In Collaboration With Other Museums.d. Working In Partnership With Other Organisations That Have An Interest In The History Of Tewkesbury And Its Environs.
