LIFE CENTRAL CHURCH REDDITCH Charity Number: 1185920
Year of 2023
Aim and Pursoses:
As recorded in our foundation documents:
Life Central Church Redditch has the following objectives as a charity. 4.1 The objects of the Church (“the Objects”) are for the benefit of the public:
• (a) to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Church Council from time to time may think fit;
• (b) to relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind including the provision of counselling and support in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Church Council from time to time think fit;
• (c) to advance education in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Church Council from time to time may think fit.
Achievement and Performance:
The charity continues to provide weekly public meetings for worship. We run a play and stay parent and toddler group on Wednesdays in the hall. We continue to support overseas mission work through our missionary contacts.
The charity gives on an add hock basis to support those in need in our community.
Relief of need: financial and sickness.Where we became aware that there were members of the church or community we provided cash and vouchers to these families: gifts and parcels were given to members and contacts as we became aware of the need.
Pastoral care and support given to those who were elderly and locked in. Regular contact by phone and in person from time to time where needed. We keep in contact with the members of the church using email, text message and WhatsApp groups to communicate and pray
together. We have had members visiting the elderly and those who are isolating because of medical conditions.
Overseas Missions:
Our support for overseas mission continues through financial support for Corrie Arrowsmith who has been working with Teach Beyond in the Philippines.
Logos Hope Mission Ship
Jan and David Arrowsmith are supported as they work with Logos Hope mission ship.
Several members of the church are involved in working for and supporting mission work in Pakistan.
We have supported a mission / orphanage in Kenya Wicklife Omenda of Christ Care Ministries International.
Community Involvement and service: Toddler Play Group:
We organised a play group for 2 and 3 year old children. Up to 60 mothers and babies were attending the group and we found this to be a vital part of our connection with the Oakenshaw community. Oakenshaw Community Hall.
We rent the community hall from Rubicon Leisure which is a company set up by the Redditch council to run its leisure facilities in the town. We
are actively looking for a property to rent on a more permanent basis. We would run more programs for the community if we had access to a kitchen and the hall on a more regular basis.
Financial Review;
Reserves Policy:
While we hold some reserves these are in line with our desire to rent or purchase our own property. The amount we hold in reserve is proportional to expected cost of leasing and maintaining a property when a suitable one becomes available.
