Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Becket Primary PTA is made up of a group
of volunteer parent/carers and school staff
who find time during their busy lives to help
to raise funds to enhance our children's
learning experiences and make school
more fun! Becket Primary PTA is actively
trying to create solutions and solve some
issues that both our school and community
are facing. Becket Primary is a school with
a big heart, and we care what happens to
our children whilst in our care and beyond–
we invest in our children’s futures.
Autumn Term 2023
Fundraising in the Autumn Term
commenced with a Costume
Party/Disco. This raised £403.84. We
saw some amazing costumes! There
was dancing, refreshments,
accessories.
The sale of Christmas gifts, Christmas
Jumper Day, a staff raflle and the
Christmas Fayre raised a combined
total of £1,272.93. PTA volunteers
stood out on the playground in all

weathers during lunch breaks and before and after school selling the novelty gifts to our parent community and pupils. The Fayre was very well attended and the school hall was packed to capacity and was a great success. Spring Term 2024 The Spring Term saw the return of the Valentine’s disco. Continuing on with our ethos not to sell single use plastics the children enjoyed face painting and temporary tattoos instead. They could also purchase disco accessories (that are not single use). The disco raised £435.28 We also held an ‘adopt a teddy’ event which took place every day after school for a week. The teddies managed to raise £268.50 for PTA funds and all managed to be rehomed to a new family. Summer Term 2024 Back by popular demand was the Easter Raffle. This event is always a favourite amongst the children and the draw created a lot of excitement as it took place. It raised £271.51. The Easter Raffle was accompanied by a colouring competition. This raised £43. The term ended with the Summer Fayre. This was a great success thanks to all the effort of the PTA’s volunteers and was enjoyed by all who attended. The total raised from this event was £1667.10. A Becket record! The primary objective was to support enriching activities and provide necessary resources for teaching and learning. The intervention was crucial in ensuring a wellrounded educational experience for the students and fostering a sense of community involvement within the school. Money raised supported school trips, in school events, resources and more.
