Organisation of educational workshops Purchase of equipment to assist in public research Public Benefit The Trustees confirm that the charity operates for the public benefit under Section 4 of the Charities Act 2011 ## **Achievements and Performance:** During the financial year 01.11.2024 to 31.10.2025, the YWHS has: - Purchased a microfilm reader and arranged for it to be made available for public use and research in Goole Library - Continued to digitise photographs for public access on the society’s website, including the Grayburn album - Published documents, books and films and digitised oral history recordings on the society’s website - Given 8 public talks - Attended events including Goole Hobbies Exhibition and the Yorkshire Heritage Summit - Run a programme of 10 summer heritage workshops - Employed a freelance communication assistant to extend our reach on social media and provide supporters with a monthly newsletter - Joined with other Goole based community groups to develop plans for the bicentenary celebrations, including organising a flotilla of vessels. ## **Financial Review:** Yorkshire Waterways Heritage Society has gratefully received grants from: - Goole Fields Windfarm Community Fund - Tesco Community Fund The Society does not have a current reserves policy.
