**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

**To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Dymchurch and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.** 

The Trustees confirm that they have had regard to the Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance where relevant. 

The trustees have continued activity to progress the aim of providing a new Pavilion facility on the recreation ground site. 

This work has included:

- Holding local fundraising events 

- Approaching Parish and District council for grants  Progressing designs for a new Pavilion with an architect  Engaging the community with social media posts and letterbox flyers. 

- Compiling and circulating questionnaires to gauge community interest in the project.
