Libety Jamboree's purpose is to promote social inelugion arnong young peoplc and young
adults with special edllcational needs, disabilitics, or mental ill health in Staffordshire and the
W¢st Midlands. By preventing social exclusion and facilitating integration into society,
Liberty Jamboree supports individuals and their familic& lo overcome barriers and thrive.

Structure and Governonce
Liberty Jamboree operates as a Charitable Incorporated Organi7ation (CIO), established on
October 15, 2019. Governance follows the Charity Commission fyamcwork, with operations
overseen by a diverse Board of Trustees who bring expertise aligned with the charity$
strategic objcctives.

Edinburgh Award and Mencap Gateway Award.

Afier-school clubs designed to develop social, emotional, and creative skills
through activities like sports, arts, trips. alld life skills.

Introduction
As Chair of Liberty Jamboree. l am delighted to present our financial report for the year
ending 31 October 2022. This year has b¢en a testament to the strength of our mission to
empower and engage our community, supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners.
Our f]nancial stewardship rcfl¢ots our commitment to transparency and effective use of
resources.
Ffinanclal Summary

In 2022, Llberty Jamboree geneFated a total income of £305,090, reflecting robust support
from grants, fulldraising) and project-specific contributions. Key funding sources include..
Main Grants- Lottery: £49,192
Peter Harrison Foundation: £20,000
BBC Children in Need.. £9,205
staffordshire Chamber: £7,500
This income ¢nabled us to ¢ontinu¢ vital programs such as Dance Exchange, Next Gen. and
Liberteens.

We successfully maintained a balanced approach to spending) ensuring tbat fllnds were
directed where they were most needed.
Surplus and Reserves
The year ended with a net surplus of £8,839, incr¢asing our bank balance to
£119,058 as of 31 Octobcr 2022.
This surplus strengthens our financial reserves. ensuring sustainability for ￿tUre
projects.

Restricted and Unrestricted Funds
Our income was a combination of restricted funds. dedicated to specific projects, and
unrestrleted funds, which supported general oporations. Highlights include:

HAF, used for targeted initiatives such as youth engagem¢nt and community sports.
Unrestritted Income., £246,992, allowing us to maintain flexibility in addressing
organizational needs and unexpected opportunities.
Restricted and unrestricted funds were earefully manag¢d to meet both short-terni objectives
and long-t¢rrn sustainability goals.
Achievements and Impact
The year 2022 wa5 m￿ked by significant achievements, including:
l. Expansion of our Danee Exehallge Program, engaging over 100 participants.
2. Launch of Next GeD, providing vital skills for young adults transitioning into
education and employment.
3. Successful partnerships with organizations like the Staffordshire Chamber and
Community Foundation, enhancing our community reach.
Outlook for 2023
As we look ahead, Liberty Jamboree remains committed to fo8t¢ring inclusion and growth
