Monies raised and costings from key events in academic year 2019/2020
Notable expenditure and donations to school totals £ 500.00
This figure is not representative of previous years. It is sadly due to the start of the pandemic restricting the school with trips and special events.
Highlights of activities held:
• Year 7 and 8 discos saw huge success in terms of both profits and raising the profile of the hard work of the PTA.
• Heidi’s Hero evening – Donation £300
A very warm thank you from Paul Wood. What a lively evening for a great cause.
“Hi Anne,
Thanks for your email & for your help on Saturday, please pass on my thanks to the other ladies who helped. Thanks goodness you all stayed until the end; I was told that only the one choir would be staying behind afterwards, hence putting some of the alcohol away & the limited number of rolls that we had.
You are very welcome to the donation & I hope that we can do other things together in the future. I am keen to enrich the life of the pupils through the work that we do as a charity & hopefully get some of them involved a bit more. Best wishes, Paul”

Winter Fair – the best ever! Great atmosphere and every stand did very well.
-
Huge thanks to members of the PTA who collected and created raffle prizes for the Christmas Fair and Carol Concert.
-
Huge thanks to all staff and PTA members who contributed to the running of the Christmas fair in both the lead up to the event and on the actual evening.
• School Lottery has been supported heavily by the PTA and will hopefully continue to grow in success with this year’s new parent intake. Easy fundraising has also seen an increase in profits over the last year also, we shall continue to raise awareness of these schemes at forthcoming events.
• Bags to school – a quieter year because of the lack of access to school due to the pandemic.
• Thanks to Parents who helped at the open evening in term one greeting prospective parents, pushing interest in the school Christmas fair and driving second hand uniform sales.
• Thank you and congratulations to Dana for her contribution to the PTA. Her employer gave our charity a £1,000 donation as part of the Lloyds Bank Match Giving scheme. We are so grateful for all your time and effort Dana.
On a personal note, I have enjoyed my time as treasurer and wish Anne Emery every success moving forward.
