|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identfying the diference the<br>charity’s work has made to the<br>circumstances of its<br>benefciaries and any wider<br>benefts to society as a whole.|Para 1.20|During the year, Parley Pre-School achieved<br>signifcant progress in strengthening and<br>beginning an expansion project, resultng in<br>clear benefts for children, families, and the<br>wider community.<br>The charity secured substantal grant funding<br>to improve and expand its facilites, with<br>building works commencing during the year.<br>Despite this disrupton, the pre-school<br>successfully relocated into a marquee, ensuring<br>contnuity of care and educaton with no<br>interrupton to services.<br>A key achievement was the promoton of<br>school readiness. Children made strong<br>progress across all areas of the Early Years<br>Foundaton Stage (EYFS), partcularly in<br>communicaton and language, personal and<br>social development, and early literacy and<br>numeracy. Transiton support, including visits<br>to local schools, helped children move<br>confdently into primary educaton.<br>The pre-school contnued to deliver afordable,<br>high-quality childcare, including full access to<br>both 15- and 30-hour government-funded<br>places without restrictons. This enabled<br>parents and carers to work, study, or train,<br>reducing fnancial pressures and supportng<br>family wellbeing.<br>Strong emphasis was placed on family and<br>community engagement. The setng built<br>meaningful relatonships through regular<br>communicaton, parent meetngs, and events<br>such as a leavers festval. Community<br>involvement was enhanced through local visits,<br>seasonal events (including Easter and<br>Halloween actvites), a holiday club, and<br>partnerships with local schools and businesses.<br>Investment in staf development ensured high<br>standards of care and educaton. A new<br>experienced staf member joined the team,<br>and ongoing professional development|





supported continuous quality improvement. Children benefited from a rich programme of activities, trips, and experiences that supported their development and wellbeing. These included visits to local facilities (library, woods, supermarket) and activities promoting physical development, such as the introduction of new outdoor equipment. Opportunities for baking and gardening helped children develop practical life skills and an understanding of healthy living. Seasonal celebrations and themed activities, such as Christmas, Easter, and World Book Day, further enriched children’s experiences and promoted creativity and a love of learning. There has been lots of opportunities for messy, creative play and exploring the natural world. Overall, these achievements have made a measurable positive difference to the children’s development, improved access and support for families, and strengthened community connections, contributing to the wider social and educational wellbeing of the local area.

While<br>reserves were modest, the overall outlook was<br>positve due to grant funding that had been<br>secured and was imminently due to be<br>received, providing reassurance over short-<br>term fnancial commitments.<br>In additon, the charity strengthened its long-<br>term sustainability by securing a commitment<br>to a 20-year lease from the Parish Council. This<br>provides stability of premises, supports future<br>planning, and underpins contnued investment<br>in the pre-school’s facilites and services.<br>Overall, the charity is fnancially viable, with<br>incoming funding and secured premises placing<br>it in a sound positon to contnue delivering and<br>developing its services for benefciaries.|
