Charlty Acllvltles Account
A Fire Walk was introduced as a new mairx furKlraising and prom01K￿al event this year. It
was the club's first attempt at using online lundraising plattorms. which proved both effective
and lucrative.
Marshalling and car-P8rking dulles continue to provide us with a substsntial income stream.
Bucket collections Gontinue to be reliable fundraifing activilies. and a revamp of the Easter
Egg draws this year proved successful.
Our largest donation this year went lo a L￿n$ MD105 SW District fund towards the purchase
of 10 vision screening cameras. These cameras are central to the roll out of a new Lions
MD105 service project aimed to provide free and effective vision screening lor children in
primary schools. Crediton and Dlstrlct Lions aim to offer this service to schools in our area.
Several donations were made to Lions Clubs Intematsonal Foundation {LCIFI to support
humanitarfan aid for communib'es abroad.
Supportin9 Youth activities in our community has become a strong focus for the club this
year. We were fortunate to receive a grant fr￿1 Crediton Town Council to support some of
our seThice ackn'vibes. Some of Ihe granl funds wll cover expenditure in 202&26.

Paymenls due to LCI, MD105 and SW District sb'll exceed inojme cdlected through
members. sub$¢ripiion8, dèspte increasing them Ihis year, However. a healthy balance in
the Administration Account has been maintained through members and frleTrJs contrfbuting
to club social events so that they make a profit. In additicx), significant savings have been
made by finding a free venue for our business meetings.
The club received a small grant through Lions MD105 SW Dlstrict to support a Club
Membership recruitment and retention initialjve. Expenditu￿ for this initsative will continue
into 2025-26.
3pectaclo Rocycllng Account
This account continues to be utilised by Z£￿e H Clubs and olhers in SW District to hold their
contributions towards the transportation of used spectacles c(Ilect8d in our area to a
processing facility. This arrangement is wothng eff8Ctrvely and currently holds a SUTpIus
which could counter a rise in future transwt costs.
