1. Report on the year 2020-2021.
The year has been one of reduced activity with many events cancelled and little opportunity to generate funds. However, we were fortunate with gift income from members and an anonymous benefactor amounting to £1603 in total. Other fundraising managed £480.46. The major fundraiser of the year, Easter Egg draws had to be curtailed as the Pandemic grew. We were however able to promote a Golf Competition and planning for this took place in the current year with results to follow in next years review.
Our Charitable activities, flowers to ‘Age Concern Crediton’ clients and to ‘Crediton Talking News’ listeners costing just £111 was very well received. Other donations, amounting to £1344.75 are listed in the accounts and covered disaster relief through LCIF , Local charitable need and the Food bank, amongst others.
Membership of the club has grown to 19 during the year. We were unable to have our Annual Charter Anniversary but members got together in the appropriate manner, outside or in small groups as the rules permitted. Other Meetings were held on ‘ZOOM’ and It was pleasing that we maintained contact and activity planning during the lockdown. It was decided during the year that as our usual meeting place was not available to us that we should relocate to the Golf Club and meeting to be held at Lunchtimes in future.
Admin funds have grown slightly by £108 to £928.
Charitable funds (Activities and Charity account ) have been merged into one account, the New CIO account during the year and combined funds at year end are £2066 compared to £1636 the previous year.
Registration with HMRC regarding Gift Aid has been made and approved during the year and we have also registered with the Information Commissioners Office.
