Through the summer of 2021 it became clear that there was no movement on a draft lease between ourselves and Geevor Tin Mine/Cornwall Council, preventing us from starting any installation work for a workshop. We did receive a grant of £500.00 from Volunteer Cornwall for Mental Health Crisis Support in October 2021. From late 2021 and through 2022 we have continued to pursue other building options including at Pendeen Village Hall and Bosavern Community Farm but we have not been able to agree viable lease agreements with those organisations. Enquires for membership of our Group continue, but are restricted by our lack of a workshop base. Our Facebook Group page ‘St Just in Penwith Men’s Shed’ continues to attract interest and enquires for membership.
