About Us
REPORT FROM THE CHAIR
Welcome to the 2024 Annual Report of the Pakistan Alliance for Girls, Education (PAGE). This year
marks a significant milestone in our journey towards a future where every girl in Pakistan has the
opportunity to learn. thrive. and reach her full potential.
INTRODUCTION
PAGE is a leading non-profit organisation
dedicaled to empowering girls through
education across Pakistan. Since its inception,
PAGE has been at the forefront of the fight for
girls, right to learn, creating a brighter future for
themselves and their communities. We believe
that education is the key to unlocking a girl's
potential. When girls are educated, they are
more
likely to be healthy, financially
independent, and active participants in society.
They also play a crucial role in driving social and
economic development for their families and
communities.
PAGE AND GIRLS, EDUCATION
PAGE strongly promotes the significance of
education as a means to safeguard childhood
and empower girls by taking action against child
marriage. early pregnancy. and other harmful
practices prevalent throughout Pakistan.
significant portion of births in developing nations
occurs among adolescent girls without exposure
to formal education. Girls with limited access to
schooling face heightened vulnerability to health
issues, poverty, and doffle5tic violence. Investing
in girls, education yields enduring benefits for
local communities and has far-reaching positive
impacts on regional. national. and even global
economies.
