Raunds Community Library Trust Trustees, report for the year endlng 31 Au8USt 2024 Intr¢)ductlon The trustees present their fifth Annual Report 85 a charitable incorporated or8ani5atlon ICIOI The Ilbrary is a Communlty managed public library working in partnership with Creating Tomorrow MAT and North Northamptonshire Council. Oblect of the charlty The object of the charlty is to advance the educatlon of the public by provi(ling a lending library and information service for the residents of Raunds and the surrounding villages. The Service Is provlded to the public wlthout discrimination on the grounds of a8e, disablllty or other protected characteristic. StTUCturei governance and management The charitfs actlvitie5 are governed by a Management Commlttee Ithe trustees) whlch meets ai least slx times per year. Day to day management is delegated to the Officers who report pro8ress to each Management Committee meetlng. Trustees are appointed for a term of three years by a resolutlon passed at a properly convened meetlng by the trustees. Those who served during the year are listed on page l. None of the trustees has any beneficial interest In the charlty nor do they receive remuneration. The trustee5 take into account the Charlty Commission'5 guldance on publlc benefit whèn carrying out their duties. The officers and trustees assess the major rlsks to which the charity is exposed and ensures that controls are in place to mitigate exposure to the risks. Insurance includes cover for public and volunteer liability. Banked funds are held in accounts protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The Community Library is operated by and Is entirely dependent on unpaid volunteer5. Ur)der an agreement with the Un•tary. the Unitary provides the Community Library without charge the IT equipment, the library management system and public internet together wlth technical SUPPOrt. The Unltary also support5 the training of volunteers and provides an amount of Ilbrary Stock. The library is included in the County's inter-library delivery network. Lendin8 from the Cornmunity Library 15 on the same terms as the County. Resldents can borrow antl return books, DVD'S etc. across the county library network. Users can ￿Serve county books at the Communlty Library via the internet for plck up at the library. Residents thu5 benefit from a service that 55 integrated wlth the CountWs library seNice.

Raunds Communlty Ubrary Trust Trustees, report for the year ended 31 August 2024 Raunds Community Library Trust IRCLTI provides an inlormation and library service managed by the Trustees and volunteers of RCLT whlch is a separate organisailon from the Library Service run by West Northamptonshire Council on behalf of them and North Northampton shire Councll. During the course of the year we have increased the number of communlty groups Using the library. We have also expanding it to external user5 whlch Is providing a valuable Source of income. We have also slgned up many new library users from the new housing estatès that have been built in the town. We have Sncreased our events for children, Including theatre productions. maBlc shows and STEM actlvities. These are provided with no charge to the children and continue to be wèll received. A small team of our volunteers run these, RCLT has taken part in locally organi5ed event5 Such a5 the Saturday Markets, the Remembrance Day Parade and ihe Town Garage Sale. The Library to You seNice contlnues to provide a supply of books and audio material to residents who are housebound or in care homes and we continue to advertise the service to all of the local caTe IKsmes and in local health Pract1￿5. The Trustees must express thelr thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers wl)o have willingly gNen up thelr time and energy to keep the library operating in our town. The Trustees must also thank the local residents and thelr words of encouragement, many local organisations, Creating Tomorrow MAT and North Northamptonshire Council for keepin8 us goin8. The CIO'S flnanclal result forthe year was a net cash inflow of £13007. The Trustee< aim in the comln8 year Is to actwew source ongolng external fundin8 to ensure the continuation of the seNlces provided to the communlty.
