A new board of Trustees is selected from volunteers whose names are put forward to the members of the club for approval to be voted in as Trustees at an Annual General Meeting (AGM). The new trustees commence their duties on the 1[st] July of that year. Any change to the trustees is registered with the Charities Commission. The Board of Trustees is limited to between 3 and 12 members only. The President, Secretary and Treasurer are automatically appointed Trustees after being elected to their positions at the club’s AGM. ## **ACTIVITIES 2021 - 2022** The club’snormal activities involve holding fund raising events, attending, and supporting events in the town and local area with the purpose of raising funds for the club’s ‘Charity’ account, support others within the local, national and international community and to promote the Lions ethos. Unfortunately, due to restrictions imposed under the Governments Covid regulations, the club has been unable to carry out some of their fund-raising events but have been able to support, financially, many applications for assistance. ## **ACTIVITIES, ACHIEVEMENTS, PERORMANCE AND PUBLIC BENEFIT** The following information has been extracted from the Barton upon Humber Lions Zone Reports for the period June 2021 to April 2022. Full details are published in the relevant Zone Reports and meeting minutes. - Oktoberfest - Trauma Lions (Soft toys in the form of a Lion) Delivered to Scunthorpe hospital Disney Ward. - Sponsored Bike Ride: proceeds to Lindsey Lodge (raised over £2000). - Platform Clearance Local Rail Station and installation of planters - Firework Night - Santa’s Sleigh - Santa’s Ale Trail - Defibrillator installed in Market Place - Lions on the Line (Railway Trip) - Club members have held regular Zoom meetings to ensure continuity. ## **– INCOME AND EXPENDITURE YEAR ENDING 30[th] JUNE 2021** Barton upon Humber Lions accounts were audited on 21[st] September 2021 by Wrights, Certified Chartered Accountants and are available from the club’s treasurer. The club does not carry any debts. **On25[th] April 2022 the Barton Lions Accounts stand at:** Charity (book balance) £40,603.08 Admin £1747.76 Charity Trust £1.00 ## **Donations** The zone reports submitted by the club secretary detail that the Barton upon Humber Lions have donated the sum of £8,644 for the period June 2021 to April 2022.
