**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL ASPECTS OF INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY IN AND AROUND THE COUNTY OF SOMERSET.

**Activities:** SIAS seeks to advance the education of the public in all aspects of industrial archaeology in and around Somerset. Talks are held fortnightly from October to March. Field Trips take place each summer with a programme of day, half-day and evening visits to place of industrial and historic interest. Fieldwork takes place when the opportunity arises. Members receive a Bulletin three times a year.
