**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE TO PROMOTE, PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF THE PUBLIC, IN PARTICULAR BY CARRYING OUT RESEARCH, MAKING THE USEFUL RESULTS PUBLICLY AVAILABLE AND TO PROVIDE AND DISSEMINATE INFORMATION AND ADVICE ON SAFETY AND STANDARDS IN PATIENT CARE TO POLICY MAKERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS AND PATIENTS, IN PARTICULAR ON HOW TO PREVENT ERROR AND HARM IN HEALTHCARE.

**Activities:** Patient Safety Watch will promote, preserve and protect the health of the public by carrying out and commissioning research into patient safety issues.  We will focus on the nature of preventable harm and how to reduce it in healthcare systems around the world, focusing initially on the NHS in England.
