Structure, Governance and Finance

The trustees, who served during the year were Dalia Leaf, Tanya Malkiel and Marc Stemmer. None of the trustees has any beneficial interest in the company.

The management of the charity is the responsibility of the trustees who are elected and co-opted under the terms of the Articles of Association. The number of trustees shall not be subject to any maximum but shall not be less than two. The appointment and training of a new trustee is subject to the oversight of current trustees.

There are no specific restrictions imposed by the governing document concerning the way the Charity can operate.

Charity’s Objectives and Activities

TIDE was established to advance education for orthodox Jewish students, by providing a range of school-based activities and provide social welfare and recreational leisure time programmes.

Achievements and Performance

For the year under review the charity was inactive as the trustees considered the best way to raise funds and initiate programmes for students.

Public Benefit

The trustees acknowledge the duty in Section 4 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s published general and relevant sub-sector guidance on public benefit.

All activities undertaken in the future by the charity will be for the public benefit.

Plans for the Future

The Trustees have been planning a range of programmes, and activities to support the objectives of the charity.

Reserves

There are no reserves for the year under review.

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
