The main activities during the period consisted
of fundraising via:

Talks by at least one of the Trustees at
several community meetings to raise
awareness about the needs of
vulnerable children in Zambia and to
share the vision of FOALFH

A creative activity for the public to
participate in (portrait-drawing session)
facilitated by local artists; donations for
the charity were received.
Based on constraints faced during the global
pandemic which started in Spring 2020, our
activities were limited during this period. Based
on our risk assessments, we took this approach
for the benefit of the public and intended
beneficiaries.

We developed and revised our policies
and procedures, including –
safeguarding children and vulnerable
beneficiaries, volunteer management,
risk management, investment,
conflicting interests and complaints
handling.

We held several Trustee meetings to
strengthen the vision, discuss and plan
appropriate activities for raising funds
and awareness once the safety
constraints required during the
pandemic were lessened – using both
social media and face-to-face strategies.

We continued to raise awareness and
funds for thepurpose of FOALFH.

the construction of the first home to provide
accommodation for vulnerable children, due to
the many delays experienced in both Zambia
and the UK, due to the global pandemic.

suggestion/recommendation by any one of the
existing Trustee members. They need to be ‘a
natural person’, at least 16 years old, known for
their integrity, possessing relevant skills, and a
compassion toward others with a sincere care
for improving the living conditions of others.
This will be done by convening a meeting of the
existing trustees, receiving unanimous
agreement, and passing a resolution that the
individual will be invited to serve with us on the
Board of Trustees for FOALFH.
This is the selection method, until we have
reason to revise it.
