The Charity's objects
To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people, particularly
but not exclusively men aged 18 or over, within Keighley and the surrourKling area,
from becoming socially excluded, reli8ving the needs of those ￿0p18 who are
socially exduded and assisting them to integrate into society through the provision of
facilities in which they can meet to undertake creative, physical or recreational
activities, leam or pass on skills and knowledge, and support each other socially. For
the purpose of this clause 'soci£lly excluded, means being excluded from society, or
parts of society, as a result of one or more of the following factors". unemployment.,
financial hardship- loneliness andlor isolation,. bereavement., youth or old age- ill
health (physical or mental)" substance abuse or dependency induding alcohol and
drugs- discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion,
belief, creed, sexual orientation or gerKler re-assignment" poor educational or skn.lls
attainment., relationship and family breakdown., poor housing (that is housing that
does not meet basic habitable standards)" or crime (either as a victim of crime or as
an offender rehabilitating into society).
The charity's main activities
Activities on offer currently include". woothork; horticulturall gardening" fish
management (Koi carp); gamesl jigsaws", model making., arts and crafts., and singing.
Public benefit statement In setting our objective5 and planning our activities our
Trustees have given serious consideration to the Charity Commission's general
guidance on public benefit and, in particular, social inclusion, training and education,
partnership working and community involvement. including working with schools and
youth groups.
Achievements and perfomiance
During this finanual period the shed took up full residen￿ at Bracken Bank, with all
but Wwdworking, Hort1￿lture and Koi Carp moving from Cliffe Castle.
This area now houses activities such as Bicycle Maintenance and Repair, Singing,
Model Railways, Plastic Modeling, Glass craft and Metal Craft along with Laser
Etchinglcutting
Cliffe Castle is being wound down as the Council need the premises for their own
workforts consolidation. They have offered an altemative site at Vvhin's Wood,
disused bowling green in Keighley Work has started in setting up and establishing a
base at the park, commencing with the purchase of 4 x 40ft containers then the
move from Cliffe Castle.

The Shed continues to work local community groups post covid. Athough not as
much as previously. We aim to improve this On￿ fully settled into both sites.
We are still running our Dementia Group on Wednesday pm.
Engagement has commenced with Bradford Youth Team, teaching young teenagers
how to repair and refurbish Bicydes.
Financial review
The shed is in good standing and independent auditors report is attached.

Accounting policies
Basis of accounting
The trustees have taken advantage of section 133 of the Ch8rities Act 2011 and
have prepared the accounts on a re￿iptS and payments basis. There has been no
change to the accounting polioes since last year. No changes have been made to
the accounts for previous years.
Taxation
As a registered ch8rity the organisation benefits from rates relief and is generally
exempt from income tax and capital gains tax but not from VAT. Irrecoverable VAT is
included in the cost of those items to which it relates.
Fund accountFng
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in
furtherance of the general objectives of the tharity.
Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure imposed by the
donor or through the temis of an appeal.
Trustee expenses
No trustee rewved any expenses during this year or the previous year.
Trustee remuneration and benefrts
No trustee re￿iVed any remuneration or benefit during this or the previous year.
