Our aims and objectives are to support families to acquire,.. the skills and confidence they need to turn their potential into success. Our organisation, believes it has the potential to help diverse ? communities to further develop themselves in education, health and integration.
Chief Executive Officer's Statement This has been another successful year, with funding secured for both existing provision and exciting new projects. We have also seen more families accessing our services and have welcomed several new partner organisations. Rusna Begum- Chief Executive Officer Through the hard work of our staff and volunteers, we have delivered a wide range of activities for people of all ages, while most importantly supporting those most in need within our communities. We have also provided a voice for Newport's diverse ethnic communities and helped influence service providers. This work was recognised this year when we received the High Sheriff's Award. The High Sheriff of Gwent, Mrs Shereen Williams MBE, attended an event at the KidCare4U base in March. Working with our partners has been crucial in supporting our communities. These partnerships have helped ensure that people can access advice and support that they might otherwise struggle to obtain. Our partners continue to engage with local communities, strengthening cooperation and building trust. The Saturday Club continues to go from strength to strength and now supports 198 children. with a waiting list in place. All our children engage with the education support we provide, and through our workshops, they are able to access new opportunities. This year, we have also expanded support for our young people through the development of two projects: Building Aspirations and our Youth Volunteering Scheme, alongside the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. These projects have enabled our young people to grow in conf idence, build their aspirations, and develop a more positive outlook for the future. The coming year will undoubtedly bring both change and challenge. Trustees, Report This year marks six years since KidCare4U became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, although our work began before that formal change. Next year, we will proudly celebrate ten years of supporting our communities. Over this time, the organisation has continued to grow, guided by the vision and leadership of our CEO, Rusna Begum. We have developed a range of projects that respond to community needs, and we are especially proud of the progress made with ouryoung people. Seeing them build confidence and take a more active role within their community continues to inspire us to strengthen and develop this organisation further. Our achievements are a direct result of the commitment of our staff, volunteers, and the communities we serve. We have successfully secured funding that enables us to maintain our current projects while also creating opportunities for new areas of work. However, like many organisations, we are facing increasing financial pressures as costs rise and demand for our services continues to grow. This is likely to bring change and may require difficult decisions. Even so, we remain committed to seeking further funding and continuing to deliver the support our communities need. SATURDAY KIDS, CLUB The Saturday Club continues to be one of KidCare4U's flagship programmes, providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to learn. connect and have fun. 198 children supported this year The club offers: • academic support mental well-being activities sports and physical activity creative arts and enrichment activities opportunities to build friendships. confidence
Baking for You Project Young people took the lead on the Baking for You Project. planning and running baking activities for children at the Club. As well as developing their baking skills. the workshops helped everyone involved to build confidence. strengthen teamwork. and develop leadership skills. This project was funded through GAVO Tennis Project Tennis Wales provided training for a group of our young people. enabling them to become tennis coaches. They have since been leading weekly sessions for children attending the Club, helping to improve their physical wellbeing. The project has also supported our young people to develop valuable leadership and coaching skills.

Our Cultural Fashion Show, held at , the ICC Wales, was one of the highlights of the year. The event . N welccymed over 500 guests and j. eLebrated the rich diversity of our communities. Children, young 'people, and parents proudly showcased their cuttural clothing on stage, creating an inspiring ceLebration of identity, inclusion, and CoMunitY pride. One of ouryoung people took on responsibility for organising the event, with support from staff and volunteers, and children from the Saturday Club walked down the catwalk in traditiongl dress with confidence and ' pride. The event gave both boys and girls, along with their families, a stronger sense of pride in their" cuLpure and belonging within the community. It was particularly inspiring to see the young organiser,. grow in confidenceand self-esteem:. through taking on this responsibility, while another young person confidently presented the show in both Welsh and English. <iGCare4U

Eleven young_., people completed their expedition, including an overnight camping experiehce, which helped them buiLd confvdence, resilience, artd practical life ' skills. In addition, a group of ten girLs took part in a residential visit to the Isle,. of Wight, where they explored career pathways connected to the marine environment while developing irtdependenee, teamwork, and leadershLP:6..": skills. Women's Swim & Gym Sessions Many of our families experience poor physical or mental health, while opportunities for women from ethnically diverse backgrounds to take part in physical activity can be limited because of religious and cultural considerations. We have continued to work in partnership with Newport Live to provide free swimming sessions for women and girls. Through this partnership. we have been able to use the Sports Village pool for two evening sessions each week, sUPPOrted by a female lifeguard. As a result, 470 women and girls from 13 ethnically diverse communities have accessed free swimming se55ions. with an average of 21 women attending each se55ion. This year. our partnership with Newport Live has also enabled us to offer free gym sessions for women. Dementia Holding Hands Project The Dementia Holding Hands Project has continued to provide valuable support for people living with dementia. unpaid carers. and families across Newport. During the year. the project supported 49 participants through one-to-one advice and guidance. the development of memory boxes to preserve memories and encourage meaningful conversations. and community cafés where carers and families could meet. share experiences. and access support. The project has also worked closely with statutory services to strengthen engagement with community groups and help services become more inclusive. accessible. and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
WOMEN'S WIELL-FEING GROUP,S We. have continued to deliver our Women's Viell-being j," Groups, with three groups meeting each week.'fhe groups continue to thrive, bringing together womer4 from a range of ethnically. diverse backgrounds and encouraging social connection across communities.They provide a safe and welcoming space where women can 'access- support, improve their we11-being, build confidence, and receive useful information. Activities have included yoga, Zumba, crafts, cooking, trips, walks, workshops, and talks from local organisations. Through this work, we also act as a Warm Hub, offering a safe space for women from ethnically diverse commufiities. This year, the groups reached 187 women of all ages. We,, have supported older women to attend b.y providing transport, and participants have, developed friendships ahd stronger support networks through the groups. The programme helps reduce social isolation, improvè physical and mental well~being, share important health c??5)*, information, and connect women with local services. It also supports literacy and numeracy developmen.t, promotes healthy lifestyles through walking and exrecisé . sessions, and. provides oppor.tunities for visits to local places and activities in nature. In addition, the women have contributed to the wider community by preparing meals for homeless people at The Hive, while the GAVO Warm Hub programme has enabled us to providewarm spaces and hot meals during the winter.

Events & Trips Throughout the year, KidCare4U has organised and taken part in a variety of community events that celebrated diversity, inclusion, and community cohesion. These included Windrush celebrations, which recognised the important contributions of the Windrush generation, and VE/vJ Day commemorations, which helped communities reflect on the role people from different backgrounds played in rebuilding Britain after the Second World War. Together, these events helped strengthen community relationships, promote cultural understanding, and celebrate the diversity that makes Newport such a vibrant place. Throughout the year, we aim to provide children and their families with opportunities to enjoy day trips together. Many families face barriers such as cost, transport, and language, which can make it difficult for them to access these experiences independently. These trips support the mental well-being of the whole family and help create positive memories. This year, we were pleased to take families on a trip to Porthcawl
MEN'S FOOTBALL:,, .,PROJÈCT . The men's football project was established to support the physical and mental well-being of men from diverse ethnic communities. It provides a welcoming and inclusive space where participants can take part in physical activity, build teamwork, support one another, and strengthen their 'confidEnce and self-esteem. Partnership Work KidCare4U has continued to strengthen its work through partnerships with a wide range of organisations. Both long-standing and new partners have played an important role in helping us respond to the needs of our communities and improve access to opportunities, support, and services for our benef iciaries. Through this collaborative approach, we have been able to expand the range of activities available, access additional funding, and raise the profile of our organisation within the wider community. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Kidcare 4U (the Charity) for the year ended 30[th] September 2025, which comprise the Receipts and Payments Account and Statement of Assets and Liabilities.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trustee’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
(1) accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or
- (2) the accounts do not accord with those records.
