To empower volunteers to serve their communities. meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote intemational understanding through Lions Clubs Chartered under the jurisdiction of The International Association of Lions Clubs Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document As well as providing grants to deserving causes within our community, the Lions District and Multiple District, the Lions Club of Leek undertakes a number of community service projects Unfortunately, due to the Covid 19 pandemic restrictions; our community servi projects have been severely restricted. However we have helped with urgent household maintenance for the elderly and needy- no labour costs. Assisted a lady moving to sheltered accommodation at no cost. Provided 2 gazebos at no cost to a local cafe to enable them to serve customers outside. Summary of the main achievements of the charlty during the year Our activities during the year have been limited due to the Covid 19 pandemic. No face to face meeting or activities etc - our only means of fundraising has been collection boxes, sale of surplus equipment and donations.
